After participating in this thread www.abovetopsecret.com...

It got me thinking back to my art days and an artist I came to love . And who I searched for on ats but it seems you may not have been introduced here yet. So I did the typical search . Turned up nada so here he is... .

This is mr Boggs. en.m.wikipedia.org...

He is an artist that's draws money on one side .

And they are beautiful works of art .he then trades for the face value of the note in goods and services.

Here's a YouTub link that didn't work

Ty operation. For fixing that.

Man I hope that link works im on the mobile. If not just Google him . Easy to find and worth the watch.

Just thought some of you might enjoy this beating of the system. I know he inspired me just a little bit

Thanks for that. I'll watch it.

The alternative currency that impressed me most was created by F. Tupper Saussy, who wrote Miracle on Main Street.

The Miracle On Main Street presents the simple directions, as good today as in the 1980s, and as good in the 80s as in 1789.

This fellow is quite the artist, and he has a good gimic to go along with his artwork. I met a guy once who drew postage stamps, and actually mailed them and got them postmarked. I think Picasso used to do sketches on tablecloths and leave them as payment for his dinner, although it may have been someone else I'm thinking of - it was a well known artist that did that. Thanks for this interesting thread.

I wouldn't even call it a gimmick

He won't sign it unless you accept it

And his notes are worth more than the face value

I wish i could find the full length segment on him though

And a great way to learn some things are more valuable than money
