So your agenda is to uphold a document that includes a vastly inadequate and outdated statement about weaponry?

What is inadequate and outdated about the natural right to protect yourself? The term used is "arms", so why are our politicians not going after everything else that can be defined as such and only honed in on firearms?

When the constitution was written it was not Humanly possible to shoot several hundred people a minute.

Sure it was and it was just as improbable as it was then as it is now.

Guns were not freely available then, and the types of firepower you now have could not possibly have been foreseen. If those people could see what their statement has done to your country and the kinds of atrocities it has allowed, they would be disgusted.

Now you are just speaking from ignorance and given your use of pronouns, you are speaking as an outside source, not born into American culture or even our Constitution; which many still hold dear as the protector of inalienable Rights. Rights, not given by some politico or King, but by being human. Doing some brief research, I have found that one study has inferred (which is what we have to go on) the following:

...there were high numbers of guns, guns were much more common than swords or other edged weapons, women in 1774 owned guns at rates (18%) higher than Bellesiles claimed men did in 1765-1790 (14.7%), and 87-91% of gun-owning estates listed at least one gun that was not old or broken.

Technology for the Founders was expanding just as mind-boggling as it is for us today; that recognition is confirmed in the usage of words in the Amendments; as to not lock into place a specific period of time the meaning of what was meant.

It's great to have something to believe in, but when it comes to guns, Americans screaming about their rights to own any kind of firepower based on this old piece of paper is no different to the stoning of women in Iran - both are outdated traditions ideas that have no place in modern society.

Probably the most hilarious (look up the definition to find out my context of the usage) comparison I have ran across.

First, as pointed out, you are most likely not American and thus, have no understanding of how we view our Constitution. Second, Americans don't view the "paper" you so flippantly call it, as the grantor of that Right to defend oneself. That comes from being human. It is a Natural Right, just as the bear has claws and the snake has fangs or the butterfly has its colors; it is our right to defend ourselves and preserve our lives by the means in which we can do so. That is why the term is set in a vague fashion in the Second Amendment as "Right to bear arms"; not guns or knives or wooden blunt objects; arms. Our fists, a pipe, gun or a knife. I will defend my own life if threatened to the extent in which I believe I can preserve it.

No paper in the world can ever grant those Rights nor take them away.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with this event - are you attempting to do a bit of propagandizing then?

If this really had been intended to be a mass shooting incident, and if the headlines had screamed of 18 people gunned down in the entrance hall of the terminal building, what would have been the end product of this latest psyop? Pre-inspections and checkpoints on the roads leading into the airport? Having to drive your vehicle through powerful X-ray scanners? Another jump in travel costs to cover the massive expenses? Even more of a visible police state on our streets? The covert operators were probably salivating at the prospect, and must now be furious at this botched false flag event!

Of course, then they would have cars and other things. But, we just have to stick to it. We know we can't blame people so... we just outlaw whatever we need to as we go.

Yep, now if only all those proven statistics of lower gun crime in nations where the laws were changed weren't getting in the way of all that pesky NRA propaganda

Australia implemented a gun ban, and the statistics (which are freely available and published) prove, irrefutably, that violent gun crime DROPPED.

Damn those facts!
link? source? proof?

Certainly, let me Google that for you!

Faking waves: how the NRA and pro-gun Americans abuse Australian crime stats

THE ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN CRIME STATISTICS! pdf

Yes, the second link is the actual crime data released in Australia. But I guess there will be a lot of pro-gun people here who will claim that they are not true, right?

I'm really not surprised there are so many people in the USA ignorant to the facts, it seems too many pro-gun people are completely incapable of doing any basic research.

Keep your fascist world view out of my country

You need to read some books and learn about fascism.
I'm surprised you didn't just jump straight to calling me a Nazi for daring to have a different opinion to you

While you're looking up the meaning of Fascism, look up irony too, I think you could do with learning about that at the same time.

Your whole argument gets DESTROYED when you start looking at all crime statistics
The facts are that virtually every other violent crime statistic went up DRAMATICALLY - including MURDER

Nope, sorry but you are wrong. The real crime statistics for Australia proves that violent gun crime has gone down. I know you don't like to admit it, but the facts and statistics do not lie. You can massage them and bend as much as you like, but the data is there for all to see and anyone with basic intelligence can see the truth.

That "old piece of paper" is what made this country the leader of the free world so you keep your grubby hands off of it.

I don't want to put my "grubby hands" on it lol

I expected this irrational response when talking about the constitution, it happens every time. It's quite bizarre to see from the perspective of an outsider. It's almost a religious fundamentalism.

That "leader of the free world" thing is pretty interesting too, because it's really a myth. America doesn't lead the way in anything positive.

I know you have a lot of nationalist propaganda to deal with from a young age in the USA, but you really should know that America is not number one in democracy, press freedom, Human rights, education, health care, equality, economic equality, employment rights, environment... the list is endless. America is consistently beaten by other countries, mostly in Europe, with better standards in all these areas.

There is a strange belief amongst Americans that their nation is the best in the world and a leader in everything, but in every international ranking system available the USA is beaten by others in so many different areas.

This is a direct result of what you are trying to say is not here in America. The implementation of socialism. If you tell someone long enough that they are not good enough, others are better and you are weak, you will start to believe it and feel that way. As a nation we need to stop complaining and blaming, grow a set and take care of our own backyard.

Next year is the year folks. Better get that state provided healthcare or that 'tax return', you know, the money that is actually yours anyways, will not be there.

Wish I checked my replies more often - I'd normally just move on down the road by now but I feel compelled to respond.

'll spell it out real simply & maybe you'll understand what I was trying to tell you.

Gun crime (as in: crime committed with a gun) was one of the only segments of crime that went down
Everything else including all of the violent NON-gun crimes (which you consistently avoid referencing) went up, WAY UP

So good for you. You took the guns & since less people were shot I guess it doesn't matter that there was a huge spike in the numbers of people being murdered, raped & robbed - but apparently that's a result you're happy with

Just so we're clear here - more people ended up getting harmed in TOTAL numbers because:
A: you took the guns so people couldn't defend themselves
B: the criminals knew you took the guns so there was no longer the same deterrent factor there & they could now kick in a door or rob someone without being worried about being shot

Hopefully you understand my point

POINT B:
One aspect of Fascism is a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control
History has shown that gun control is one of the common tools of virtually every despot & dictatorial government in the world.

I understand you try to throw out the "read a book" hoping that will make your point but I you know that doesn't make you correct

What you don't understand is that gun control isn't the answer - it's not going to save you or people from crime or criminals - it's not going to make people safer or stop someone from killing you if they want to

All you're doing is giving more control & power to the government & taking it from the people

And in that sense, my friend, I feel the concept of gun control is a fascist ideal - that's my opinion & there is nothing factually incorrect about my reference to fascism whether you like it or not

I forgot to address your comments about the "leader of the free world" thing

I get it - you non-americans are sure we're all A-holes & "america's number one" etc.

I'm not stupid - neither are most American's contrary to what you obviously believe

We can see that this country is in decline - but it's not because of the constitution.

We've taken many wrong turns in the last 30 years & our government is responsible for many bad fiscal & diplomatic decisions but it's not because we've been strictly following the ideals that this country was founded on.
No - In fact we've gotten away from them - we've implemented unnecessary laws & legislation that has unnecessarily complicated issues & burdened people & our economy

Thing is though, a lot has happened in the last 200 years & even though it may be slowly coming to an end, America has wielded more influence & power in the world over the last 100 years than any other country on the face of this planet - so yeah...leader of the free world...at least for a little longer - plus our pecker is bigger than yours
