Beware of warm/fuzzy titles like Universal Background Checks.

It sure sounds harmless. BTW, what are the details?

Senator Ted Cruz has revealed the truth. Is anybody surprised?

The Secular Progressives are also speechless when confronted by a 15 year old who

has common sense.

Once again Ted (Tea Party Taliban) Cruz is WRONG.

The background check compromise set to be introduced on Thursday will explicitly bar public officials from creating a national gun registry, penalizing those who do with a charge carrying a prison sentence of up to 15 years.

Right before the bill is voted on that cute little line in the law will mysteriously disappear.

Wow! How did that happen? OOPS!

Lets start building the U.S. Federal List of every gun owner in America!

Let's see now. What in the world could we do with a list of every gun owner in America?

Hmmmm.......

Oh! I know! Confiscation???

DOJ: Great law you have there. However, if you want to make it work we will require a

U.S. Federal List of all gun owners in America.

Well, who could have seen THAT coming?

Once again, Gun Grabbing Liberals have been pushed out into the sunlight by Senator Cruz.

Thank God for Senator Ted Cruz.

That's why they are planning on keeping the data in regional databases.

My apologies. I didn't realize that you were making a prediction.

This is the Breaking Political News Forum not Predictions and Prophecies.

It is normal for changes to be made just minutes before the actual votes are taken on a bill.

I think everyone is expecting the Secular Progressives to try to pull a fast one.

Think about it. Nobody actually reads the bills anyway! They don't!

The bills are written in Statutory Language.

Statutory Language = Legalese Gobbly Goop

I think i can already hear Senator Feinstein.

"Yes, of course this U.S. Federal List is unconstitutional.

Lets just do it anyway and let the U.S. Supreme Court clean up our mess as we shred the

U.S. Constitution."

The government has no business knowing how many guns I own. That's my private business.

Its troubling how so many ignorant people demand the government grab more and more power which it was never designed to have.

And people wonder how Hitler, Lenin, Mao & Castro ever came to power... It's easy; people demanded they have it.

To anyone who wants to know how many guns someone has; I have questions also.

How many TV's do you have? I mean, you can only watch one at a time!

How many forks do you have? More than one and you're hoarding weapons!

How many cars do you have? You can only drive one at a time. Any more and you're collecting killing machines!

That is the Progressive motto. Pass it and let the court hash it out.

So, progressives think that it is wrong for the Govt to deal in Marriage, which is not a Right, but controlling guns, which is a right, it fine and dandy.

What is the gun cabinet is in the bedroom? Since the biggest mantra is "Govt stay out of the bedroom", it should apply to all items within it as well.

History is replete with democracies going tyrannical. It happened in France in the 19th century.

It happened in Spain, Germany, Italy & Japan.

Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it.

Now is not the time for apathy.

Oh. So it's okay to report to the government how many bullets a person owns, but forks are (pun) off the table?

Oh, they are burning the midnight oil trying to think up ways to come at us.

The latest idea is to maybe require us to all buy gun insurance. If you don't then you

get a $10,000 fine. They can't take away the 2nd Amendment so just make it too

expensive for you to own a gun.
