so, I wonder if you will heed that fact and change your avatar since it is offensive to me and causes me terrible thoughts.

The avatar was not put their to offend you but ya if now i put that same on my id too after knowing how it affects you then i'l be 'provoking' you but you could just grind your teeth and take it in the name of freedom of expression.

Reacting to any provocation violently is wrong,
deliberately provoking may be legally ok yet ethically wrong and a show of intolerance and narrow mindedness.

Our beloved Prophet pbuh was insulted and tortured worst and he beared it peaceful, his followers now are not that tolerant but i hope they understand and follow him more and not take the bait by narrow minded sick people whose only aim is to cause trouble and possible violence which helps those idiots to prove/justify how violent and intolerant islam is.
Not reacting would be the hardest slap on their smug faces.
Sorry, got a bit carried away in using my freedom of expression

we love & respect our women, escort them as our princesses and will defend them by our lives if needed, our women know it and are not waiting for a western army to liberate them. Don't even try or many soldiers will just die due to well aimed frying pans as lethal projectiles.

god bless you and your family.

but remember , what you do for women is more valuable than what kings did for princess. Kings (mostly) are used to spill blood and follow their lust , but Muslims should not treat that way.

Men and women do not look at each other as tools. They complete each other and cover each other.

They respect and love each other.

They care for each other.

They treat each other kindly.

They think about evolving one another and they care about education just like Qur'an is a book and intends to educate Muslims.

They care if their society is not healthy. (Like I did and I started a thread discussing about porno industry and it's bad side effects)

They know that lust has no way of satisfaction. It is like salty water.

They are all aligned in one direction and they help each other.

So maybe some Muslims are not educated and maybe some of them are ignorant , but there are many others who do the right thing.

2:13-14
- when it is said to them: "believe as the others believe:" they say: "shall we believe as the fools believe?" nay, of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know.

2:256
let there be no compulsion in religion: truth stands out clear from error

43:40
canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error?

And peace be upon who follows the truth.

PS : I know English translation will not be as good as Arabic , but it is English forum and I should follow the rules.

Straw man ...
... pretty sad attempt to defend Sharia by attempting deflection.

Sharia law would rule the entire land. No one would have a choice. Everyone would have to be run by outdated misogynistic bunk ... bunk based on a group of people's silly religious beliefs and based on the fear men have of women who are independent.

Whereas ancient Christian bible readings don't rule the land .. they aren't even used to run churches. They are just readings. And the West doesn't want Christian rule. It wants secular rule of law.

Epic fail on your part, skorpion.

There is NOTHING good about Sharia. Nothing.
And the defense of it is sickening.

I have proven over and over .. Sharia is bad for women . Women who are educated and independent suffer MUCH LESS abuse than those who are under Sharia and/or who can't get an education and have independence. Men abuse women who have no where else to go. They do not respect the women. The statistics PROVE IT.

Dude .. that's seriously delusional.

I have already given stats and links showing the massive violence that muslim women suffer at the hands of their muslim men. And if you think that they would all sit there with frying pans to bonk people on the head who would relieve them of that suffering ...
that rhetoric is exceptionally insane.

Its a genuine argument.. meaning people living in glass houses shouldn't really be chucking stones at others. Resolve that first.

Like Jesus said... take the plank out of your own eye.

Whereas ancient Christian bible readings don't rule the land .. they aren't even used to run churches. They are just readings.

"They aren't even used to run churches".
Yup, there lies the problem with Christianity. Christians don't follow what their holy books tell them to...and to top it all off, Christians want muslims to do the same as well.

And the West doesn't want Christian rule. It wants secular rule of law.

You mean the same secular law that allows one to insult God and Jesus?
Have it your way... thats exactly why Christianity has pretty much collapsed in the West.

Its your rhetoric that is insane... because you seem utterly convinced that muslim women are constantly suffering.

Stats can be used to prove pretty much anything....
- that blacks are more likely to be criminal...
- that Europeans are more likely to engage in world wars...
- that atheists are more likely to turn into communist dictators...
- that Christians are more likely to molest children
..
and so on.

Ever noticed how the Christian participants bring up the worst cases to portray the message that Shariah is bad for women? With them its always extreme examples from the Taliban, Saudi etc.

These same Christians conveniently sweep their own Bibles teachings about how "disgraceful" it is for women to speak in church... or the command to keep her head covered.... and not have authority over men... and so on. And they have the nerve to talk about "gender equality". pfffft.

Exactly

And I already said that

At least they do not have equal bodies , but FF insist on opposite.

I mean , common , she won't listen to you

Sharia is bad for women. Period.

Here is what Sharia does to a woman ...

You are sugar coating dog poop.

Bottom line .... Sharia is BAD FOR WOMEN.

Those men are SICK!

And your university isn't run by Sharia law, is it?

Secular law ... devoid of religious rhetoric.

The statistics PROVE IT.

Dude .. that's seriously delusional.

Yet another fact that they sweep under the rug over there, eh??

But for some reason you muslim folks posting here just don't like to read the facts.

Like a recording machine

And at last but not least

Muhammad was a mass murdering thief. He wasn't peaceful in the least. And he ordered the 'hit' on people who insulted him. And he expected his followers to do his dirty work.

FACTS. Not rhetoric. The only rhetoric being spewed in this thread are those men who want to KEEP women as property instead of sharing a life with a wife.
And what is insane is expecting women to be 'kept' ... and babysat ...

because you seem utterly convinced that muslim women are constantly suffering.

Because they are. The facts show it to be true. As I've already posted.

And everything I said was true and proven.
But for some reason you muslim folks posting here just don't like to read the facts.
It's like trying to talk to a tomato.

Here are some more FACTS about how well the men in Iran treat the women ...

Iran -
Islam and Domestic Violence

A World Health Organization (WHO) study in Babol found that within the previous year 15.0% of wives had been physically abused, 42.4% had been sexually abused and 81.5% had been psychologically abused (to various degrees) by their husbands, blaming low income, young age, unemployment and low education.[44]

In 2004 a study of domestic violence was undertaken by the Women's Center for Presidential Advisory, Ministry of Higher Education and The Interior Ministry of capital cities in Iran's 28 provinces. 66% married women in Iran are subjected to some kind of domestic violence in the first year of their marriage, either by their husbands or by their in-laws. All married women who were participants in this study in Iran have experienced 7.4% of the 9 categories of abuse. The likelihood of being subject to violence varied: The more children in a family or the more rural the family lived, the greater the likelihood of domestic violence; Educated and career women were less likely to be victims of abuse. 9.63% of women in the study reported wishing their husbands would die, as a result of the abuse they have experienced.[4]

The prevalence of domestic violence has been cited as a cause of high rates of suicide, mostly through self-immolation, among Kurdish women in Iran.

TAKE NOTE - EDUCATED AND CAREER WOMEN WERE LESS LIKELY TO BE VICTIMS OF ABUSE.

your stats come from a source which puts up stats that only fit their agenda.
Do you know that muslims in america have twice the college degrees than the general population and that includes both muslim men and women, how is that possible if islam discourage women education as you say?

Even about saudi arabia
www.saudiembassy.net/about/country-information/education/higher_education.aspx

As of the 2004-05 academic year,
approximately 200,000 students were
enrolled at Saudi universities and
colleges, compared to 7,000 in 1970 –
a dramatic improvement. Of the
200,000 students, more than half are female. The five major universities in the
Kingdom are King Saud, King
Abdulaziz, King Faisal, Imam
Muhammad bin Saud and Umm Al-
Qura. All are open to male and female
students. Women attend all five major universities, as well as numerous all-
female colleges and private women’s
universities.

maybe you should look at the whole picture.
Yes their is violence against women but is it limited to a country or religion, most abuse happens by drunk men, muslims don't drink as a whole, so how you explain that.
If you want stats, i'l give you stats of secular countries maybe very close to your home where women are abused and raped and insulted, one woman every minute!!
People who do that are christians!!

Dude ... it's the World Health Organization ... the facts stand.

Do you know that muslims in america have twice the college degrees than the general population and that includes both muslim men and women, how is that possible if islam discourage women education as you say?

That's in America with SECULAR rule of law. SHARIA ... Sharia is what discourages it. Hard core rule of law based on Islam .. women can't leave the home without an escort .. women can't drive .. women don't get equal legal representation SHARIA. It's there. Stop denying it.

most abuse happens by drunk men, muslims don't drink as a whole, so how you explain that.

oh come on. Just because someone belongs to a religion that doesn't allow drinking, doesn't mean that they don't drink. The muslims in my neighborhood drink. The muslim terrorists from the 9/11 terrorist attack went on a prostitute and drinking binge before killing off 2,000 innocent people in the name of allah.

And no .. most abuse doesn't happen just because a man is drunk. Abuse happens all the time for many reasons and for no reason at all except the man is a b******. The statistics by the World Health Organization are VERY clear ... women in muslim homes are subjected to awful abuse. That's the truth of it.

i'l give you stats of secular countries maybe very close to your home where women are abused and raped and insulted, one woman every minute!!

No matter how many of you muslim men get on this thread, sit in a circle and pat each other on the backs with stars, it doesn't change the fact that Sharia = bad for women. The only good rule of law for anyone is SECULAR. SECULAR law has a lower rate of abuse than Sharia. Secular law - devoid of someone else's silly religious laws. No one should have to be subjected to someone else's religious laws.

Being 'kept' isn't sharing a life. Having to have a man as a babysitter isn't 'sharing a life'.
It's just being kept as a piece of property. It's just being treated as less than an adult.
It takes two adults to share a life. That isn't happening with Sharia.

Its only YOUR perception that muslim wives are "kept" as property. That's not what its like in the real world.
Muslim women do go out and have a nice time with their husbands and children. They don't walk around with black eyes or bruises like you probably imagine.

But of course, you probably rather believe that all muslim men are abusive to their wives. In that case, there isn't much anybody can do to change your outlook on this.

If it works for you to put labels on me , do it.

I know that educated women are living their lives better. But it is a general rule. Educated men live their lives better ,too.

Even none Muslim women live their lives better.

What is the connection to Islam ?

Islam is inherited by a book and it is forbidding women's education?

Or

I am stupid and do not know that is hypocrisy ? (and every other Muslim man and woman is stupid ,too.)

ETA :

But for some reason you muslim folks posting here just don't like to read the facts.

Add this to the collection.

Don't you know that people can easily neglect the truth and do whatever they want ?

Muslims are no exception.

Some Muslims men do neglect the laws both inside and outside.

But does that have anything to do with Shariat ?

NO

But in secular law, women can leave very easily and get help. Women can be educated and stand on their own. A woman doesn't need a man to babysit her .. a man to 'keep' her. A woman can go into a court of law and have the abuser punished without needing four witness'. Her word is just as important as that of a man. NOT SO WITH SHARIA.

But your fixation on the abuse of women in Islamic cultures speaks volumes of your bias.

This is a thread about SHARIA, so therefore that is the topic being discussed. If you want to start a thread about how bad secular law supposedly is for women .. then go ahead. The responses will be about secular law .. and it won't mean that anyone has a 'fixation' with it .. it'll mean that they are sticking to the topic of the thread.

Your attempt at deflection with an off topic jab ... fail.

Read the stats. Go argue with the stats. It's all there.

And yes, being a 'kept' woman who has to ask permission to leave the house or who can't drive on her own or who can't receive an education and go to work .. all because of Sharia .. that's abuse. That's men keeping women as property instead of women being allowed to fully become who they could be.
