Well, one extremely good reason is that she's probably tied closer to the government than you'll ever be.

So for what it's worth, because she is actually a gov't official, her word is better than some anonymous mouth on a internet conspiracy forum.

I'm not trying to offend you, but that's the truth.

She is not a Government official and has not been for 4 years, she is now a talking head...And that is the TRUTH No Offense!

What do you think her agenda is doing this? If you ask me it is Sedition, plain and simple, she should be jailed! If she is drumming up support for a civil insurrection that is the most STUPIDEST thing this country could do and is exactly what TPTB want!

As she is now a cheerleader for TPTB, not a representative of this Nation!

buster, baby.....about a 9 on phobia level.... what' ya thinking, I like her....hunters unite....

dang, they go moose hunting, I couldn't imagine...

People that shoot animals from helicopters are not hunters. They are killers who don't amount to a pimple on a real hunters ass. So please don't degrade real hunters by lumping them into a class with her.

I have not shot moose from a helicopter. Since you are experienced with it, I will ask you the things that I am curious about regarding this type shooting.
Does the helicopter provide a stable shooting platform, in that it must move to some degree, relative to the target. Does the rotor wash affect the path of the bullet, like wind does?
Do the moose tend to run away from the helocopter?

Then I would like to know your opinion about hunters that use tree stands. Are they hunters, in your opinion?

Hollow points aren't intended for target practice and are not allowed in armed conflict under the Geneva Convention. So, either DHS is criminally wasting taxpayer money, or they are stockpiling small arms ammo for some sort of civil conflict. I'm not replying to anyone's post in particular, just adding my two cents to the OP.

Because she is FAR MORE ‘in the know’ than you?!

Why are you the first to chime in with a quick fallacious argument without even considering what the OP said? That makes me question everything YOU have ever said on ATS.

What do you have to say about the build up we've all heard about? It's all a figment of Sarah Palin's imagination??

It IS true that the Geneva Convention does outlaw hollow point bullets for warfare. However, there is no prohibition against law enforcement use of hollow points.
Just think about that. They cannot be used in warfare against those that may have attacked our country, but they are legal as far as killing US citizens. Maybe all US citizens should declare war on the government, then they wouldn't be able to use them against us.
Of course, that won't stop them. I just wanted to point out the absurdity of the situation, especially since the US frequently ignores any of the Geneva rules of war anyway.
Anyone that believes that the government is stocking up on this ammunition for training is a complete fool.

I couldn't care less about Sarah Palin or any of the rest of her family. I have always had a very low opinion of them. But whatever her intentions may have been, if her statement gets the issue of the US Govt's ammo stockpiling and/or anticipated civil unrest out to more people, I'm fine with that. It may actually help to wake a few people up or at least get them to look a little further into it. The masses who are stuck on the MSM may not have heard anything about it until now.

Many of us are well aware of the US Govt's stockpiling of vast amounts of ammunition. And based alone on the fact that much of it is hollow point, the whole training explanation simply doesnt fit. I'd say the best case scenario is that it's being bought up to keep it out of the hands of the public as part of the attack on the 2nd Amendment. But unfortunately, there's probably a lot more to it than that.

Reading some of the responses here makes me sad and ashamed.

I don't think anyone can argue the point that Sarah Palin is not the most booksmart person in the country, in fact she is indeed "ditsy". She however, is certainly in some good company in that regard as alot of politicians and pundits these days are not exactly rocket scientists themselves. Instead of taking jabs at the woman whom by your own admission is no longer politically of import and is just a person, why not pay attention to the message instead?

It is a FACT that the government has purchased 2 billion rounds of ammunition in a little over 1 year.

It is a FACT that some of these were hollow point rounds which are good for only 1 thing and that thing is not target practice.

It is a FACT that the DHS has requested the order of the non-traditional paper targets and that those targets depict average American gun owners in residential settings. I mean come on, targets of elderly, pregnant, and young women and/or children is totally inexcusable and unacceptable.

It is a FACT that in response the MSM has gone into damage control trying to make what she said seem like a joke and pulling much the same tactics as some people here (demonizing the person and making the message seem unimportant).

Yet here we are, lobbing insults and disregarding the facts that have been presented attacking the messenger instead of demanding the answers as to why?

Sarah Palin is not the smartest woman ever, and comes off a little too preachy when talking about religious beliefs but she would be no worse then the complete morons we have been stuck with for the last 20 years. She has one thing that 90% of them do not have and that is a soul. So have your fun, best get your teasing in while the teasing is good, because if the SHTF I can guarantee nobody will be in any position to laugh at anybody.

Who am I to try and point out that which should be obvious?

Maybe, maybe not...after all you have no idea what my connection to he Govt is.

So for what it's worth, because she is actually a gov't official, ..

What Govt office does she hold?

her word is better than some anonymous mouth on a internet conspiracy forum.

That depends on how good the information is - I am often happier to take the word of anonymous sources for things that make sense than the word of well known people who are kooks.

I'm not trying to offend you, but that's the truth.

Get back to me on that....

Hi,
Do you think that close to 2 billion bullets, many of them hollow points are purely for target practice?
Could it be that the bullets are part of a grand jigsaw puzzle?

Some other parts could possibly be:

Financial Institute raping the Nation
Horrifying National debt
Corrupt Government
The Constitution in tatters
Shocking Unemployment
Deep Underground Bases (not for me and you)
house forclosures and emergence of tent cities
rising prices of food, gas, utilities
a move to get the guns
FEMA Camps
1000's of drones to be soon used by LE
LRAD etc

These are other parts of the puzzle I am sure of it, its not about Sarah as a person, its about the bigger picture,

what are the bullets for? for me its a "no-brainer."

PEACE,
RK

As of this report, he has not been heard from.

I googled can smart people be ditsy....and here's a response I liked....

"Kindness is more important than intelligence." So be kind to your sister. Love her and pray for the best for her!

And yes, even geniuses can be ditzy at times. Haven't you ever heard of "The Absent-Minded Professor"?

Source

And based on this response I don't think Mrs. Palin is ditsy....

there is a difference between intelligent and academically smart.Any idiot can be academically smart, but lack intelligence altogether.Intelligence refers mainly to Emotional Intelligence, how intelligent you are as a person. It has nothing to do with academical performance. So,what you wanted to say was that she's academically smart, but ditzy. Then, yeah, that's possible.Usually ditzy means someone who's a spoilt brat, cheap, whiny, shallow and stupid(not intelligent) and who lives in their own small bubble world.....and so on.Oh,and to add, someone who lacks depth and personality.

What's the trigger? I suppose it's the 25,000 hollow-point round question. Seems like the economy tanking (staged) is the most popular, then again Mother Nature may just surprise us with Yellowstone or some cosmic junk slamming into the lower 48.

Great thread OP, S+F.

This is an extremely important thread. Some of the ATS members here seem to get it, but others, I wonder about. Our freedom is under a very well-planned, systematic attack by the PTB. Reading some of the posts on this thread, leads me to think that the title of the thread should have been:
Palin confirms that government is stockpiling ammo for civil unrest...ATS government shills go into damage control
I used to think that the government wouldn't bother with ATS, but lately, I believe that they are here. Some of them may be nothing more than "useful idiots" that are being brainwashed into believing that what they are saying is true, but that in itself says a great deal about how controlled, albeit without their knowledge, their thought process is.

Obama has 4,500 cyber-warriors which are infiltrating forums, and social media sites. If we split this number 500 ways, that means 9 agents a piece.

To think that at least 9 agents aren't being used on the most influential conspiracy site on the net... is absurd.

"Hollow point bullets are not for target practice... "

so true , infact just ten years ago they were trying to make them illegal because gangs were using them against cops, hence the term ,

"cop killas"

so for them to buy that ammount and say its for target practice, i would assume they mean a LIVE target pratice,,, and thats us.

im pretty much assured that is the exact reason and thats exactly what i thought when i read over the summer they were buying that much.

palin might be a complete moron, but shes a complete moron who is connected. and theres no way we cannot default.

does anyone know if the federal bank has gotten its charter back for the next 100 years?

It's enough for a 3 year war maybe, definitely not 30 years*. It is unusual, but the target practice isn't that unreasonable. If you use hollow point bullets in the field you need to practice with them. They do fire different than regular bullets; it's subtle but enough that you want to be accustomed to it.

I'm on the fence on this whole thing, but I came into politics watching Bush start to erect the police state apparatus with the PATRIOT ACT and the DHS. They appear to have not stopped since. We'll see.

If there are nefarious intentions they want us to riot so they gain control. We would do well to remember that.

no - it is BS - they practice with the same ammo they use in the field. this means they do not have to worry about mixing up amo types, and makes supplyeasier - only 1 type of ammo to buy.

infact just ten years ago they were trying to make them illegal because gangs were using them against cops, hence the term ,

"cop killas"

You are supposed to deny igniorance, not demonstrate it!!

"Cop killa's" were teflon coated bullets that could supposedly more easily pierce the sort of body armour worn by cops. In the enf het NRA helped craft teh law that banned actual armour piercing ammo from being sold to anyone except military & law enforcement.

so for them to buy that ammount and say its for target practice, i would assume they mean a LIVE target pratice,,, and thats us.

Wrong.

im pretty much assured that is the exact reason and thats exactly what i thought when i read over the summer they were buying that much.

Now that you know better you can stop living in fear and ignorance.
