Native American Confronts Protesters on Illegal Immigration

The fact that those protesters are probably descendents of immigrants is not at all relevant, nor does it make them hypocrites. No one is responsbile for what their parents do, and they sure as heck aren't responsible for what ancestors from hundreds of years ago did. Conquering happened all over the world and was simply how territory was gained. We have progressed and are now ruled by written law.

We can see from the past that uncontrolled immigration is never good. The natives were certainly not 'enriched' by being displaced by foreigners...we in the western world won't be either, despite what we are constantly told.

This irks me.

It's really cute to call the 'invading' peoples who made the nations you are in today, illegal immigrants. We cop it down here all the time when we try to call for border control to stop boats coming here.

We get called invaders, illegal immigrants and told to shut up about the new set of illegal immigrants.

But lets look at the facts.

The native peoples at the time were not going to put up much of a fight to stop the evil 'white man with guns'. Not a lot at all. Inevitably it was going to be a take over. As good or bad as you want to read into it, that is how it was.

And any one of you citizens of any current nation on this planet who bang on about how terrible and awful we are, well you only get to do so BECAUSE of history. You wouldn't even be born had the world turned out different. Another pure and simple fact.

Unless you think that somehow your grand parents would have met by sheer coincidence had no one ever taken another peoples land. Ignorance to believe it, but I guess you can believe what you wish.

Now, *WE* - the people of the current world - have the right to say who comes into our lands.

If you want to go on about history and how we're so evil and should just bend over and accept illegal immigrants en masse, you're basically saying they you accept what happened to the people before us.

So.. which is it.. We are evil and nasty white folk who plundered a land, so we should now bend over and let the next lot rape and plunder the land, because we're guilty so we should just shut up about it, OR..

Were the noble peoples of yesteryear so worthy of your current support, that you would say the same now about the same things? Yet you don't. You rally on about "It's a free world man, lets all have a big hug guy. Peace and light to you and your stuff dude"...

Borders are there for a reason. Those who fought and lost.. well thanks to the way things are now, they didn't lose at all. The victors are giving back everything.

And more than this, we're told to bend over and take it like the guilty vermin we are...

No argument from me.They most definitely got the shaft.However,this is really nothing new.Throughout the history of mankind there have been many indigenous peoples who became the victims of foreign invaders.The only real difference is that those other peoples were,for the most part wiped off the face of the planet,either through inter breeding or out and out genocide.At least the Native Americans were allowed to continue breathing.Once again,I am not condoning what happened,just stating facts.

I wonder if "Native Americans" had been more organized, with better communication, they could have teamed-up and resisted the Colonialists. Surely they could have thwarted the movement westward by closing the Cumberland Gap.

Didn't the Sioux and others overrun other natives, wipe them out and take their land as the white men pushed west?

This will of course not set well with Native Americans and all those who think they have some kind of special civil rights inherited from their forefathers and who have no regard for immigration laws and limitation, they don't and you don't have any special rights, anymore than I, as a descendent of Royalty would have a claim upon Crown Lands or the Lands of my forefathers in England or the Canary Islands.

I am not sure how to press this reality into your brains but Possession and the Rules of Law Govern this World. The Native Americans through wars and conquest drove out what inhabited the land before they came; one civilization replaces the next; these are no longer Indian Lands and the survivors who subjected and subverted themselves to survive certainly are not entitled to any special compensation; although they are entitled to what was promised them.

This country, the USA does not belong to Mexico or Mexicans, it belongs to Americans who in each generation earn and re-earn that right.

I am not going to attempt to explain this any better because those who don't get it or simply don't agree have and will have plenty of opportunity to prove me wrong and pay the prices for failure; just as all those who think this country is a Socialist Democracy have and will have their opportunity to replace this Republic and those who stand behind it; just like Obama and those with and behind him are having their chance. The Land Belongs to those who Possessed it...Now, prove me wrong.

This is a disgraceful and thoughless statement, You should be ashamed.

1] most wars do NOT lead to the invaders wiping the peoples of the conquered nation off the planet - so that is factually incorrect.

2] The Native Americans - were subjugated, marginalised, displaced and many starved to death, following the Indian Wars, the many land displacements they endured,

They died from the diseases that were intentionally and unintentionally inflicted on them, plus, starvation, war, alcohol etc.

So you think it is all ok because some of them were left breathing -- come on .................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, European countries did invade North America and took it over. Europeans fought, and won that's how history went down. Native Americans can rant and rave about it all they want but it doesn't change the history or the present. I can understand his frustration but is that any reason to protest a protest on immigration policy? I guess it wasn't really a protest on his part just a direct rant meant to insult people based on what their ancestors did. If you're going to yell and curse out the people of today over something the generations of yesterday and then some days did just stop there, invent a time machine, go back to any year Native Americans were being killed and go rant to them. Although I would suggest not doing that because you'd probably find yourself as another statistic.

You either believe that inhabitants of the land have a right to protect their cultural heritage, and then you should be against both illegal immigration and native american genocide. Or you dont, and then its might (or numbers) makes right and native american genocide was justified.

Oh, boo hoo! How about we tell ALL of the history, instead of only the parts that allow a group to whine and complain for special treatment? The majority of Mexicans have come flooding in after NAFTA was enacted. The vast majority are rural people who faced a decision, let their families starve or leave. If you have kids, would immigration laws stop you from making money to feed them? I am not saying all illegals are saints. That is not the case. But some of you love to talk so much. When your economy crashes, it will be ironic if you have immigrate to be able to keep your family from starving to death.
