I don't doubt what you're saying is really happening, but I do doubt it is the US Government.
I realize that you probably didn't see my post so I will post it again
The reason I know US govt is spying on me is because they reveled themselves, they don't care
They sent me a popup describing what I am wearing, down to my socks and slippers,
If I have no Web Cam in the room and elsewhere, and they can see me, that means I am under surveillance

You felt the power of some malicious hackers whom you assume are part of the US Government. You don't know for sure who it was.
I know you said you have no webcams in the house but are you sure you don't have one built into the laptop? Or did you save any images of yourself onto the computer?

No, I read the whole post and your response, that aside...
It sounds like you have a stalker, regardless of if you're aware of it or not stalkers post what you're wearing to intimidate you, not governments. I suggest you prepare yourself for the possibility that you're being stalked.
If any government was spying on you to the point you say, you wouldn't be here. Unless of course you're currently a person of interest in a criminal investigation.

I would say you need to do a complete clean install on your computer (or just go buy a new one) and only go on-line when absolutely necessary and immediately shut off your wireless or unplug the cable when your'e done. Change your router's security password often. Only use a USB thumb drive to transfer files, don't use email. When you download something, download it to a thumb drive and then remove the drive immediately.

search around for yourself or find someone to scan your home for hidden cameras or audio recorders.
I also don't doubt that something has happened to you but you can rest assured it was NOT the government. As others have said, you're insignificant. If you've done something bad enough to catch their attention, they're not going to play stalker games with you, they're going to simply come get you to either interrogate you or arrest you. Let's say you are on some government list. Maybe they have suspicions about you for some weird reason do you really think they're going to play stupid hide-and-seek "I'm watching you" games with you? No.

isn't that very lovely thinking you got there
If you are on government surveillance, it means that you are in criminal investigation.
LOL typical
So I am either a criminal, or I got a stalker, because NO WAY could it be government abusing citizens. LOL
Love it.

So someone described exactly what you were wearing at the moment of contact, sans webcam (got a cam in your cell? hackers & stalkers can be VERY resourceful) If I were you, I'd be eyeballing your neighbors, acquaintances and friends way before government. It doesn't take much for some obsessed sicko to latch on, or for a bored techie with skillz to screw with you for fun. If you've swept your home & found no bugging equipment, you're not being surveilled by the goobermint, you have a problem more localized. If any government organization wanted to watch you for whatever reason, they'd have more ways to watch you than just your computer, hon. Seriously. Be more aware of the people you're in contact with, be more aware of your surroundings, and at the first hint of creepiness, no matter how many times it happens, call the cops. I'd rather it be just a harmless bored techie snickering behind his screen next door, but I really don't want to see you hurt or worse by a nutcase with you in his twisted sights.

There is a massive amount of government abuse in this country, but this sounds like a bad James Patterson novel.

I believe your hubby is playing with you, he would lnow what you are wearing. maybe he is linked in to your network? Id also like to know the make and model of your laptop/pc.
I would expect more professionalism from the goverment when it comes to spying, because of that I have doubts they have anything to do with this.

You may want to get a fresh hard drive or learn to write zeros to your drive...but even then , if you have something REALLY bad and personalized....you may just want to get a used PC and keep it offline...OR get a mac, or a pc if you have a mac....that would make it almost incompatible...what ever it is...
I would do all that BEFORE thinking the Govt is out to get you....
Try "reg run security", and if that use something like "Old timer" once you have identified it....
