Why do you think Texas is the only state that would be successful as its own country?
Its size? You know there are other countrys that are allot smaller.

I think it would take a lot for Texas to leave the union. That said, if theye left, you might see Arizona, Louisiana, the gulf states, and maybe even Oklahoma leave too.

One word.... Oil

No other state could secede with out moments later go running back to the states for resources.

Texas has the economy and the oil to fuel the imports and exports it would need to stay afloat.

I wish Texas would just do it already and stop talking about it. Not because I support it nor think it's a good idea, but for 2 reasons.

1) Texas is kind of a national embaressment, if they want to leave, good go ahead and try it.
2) If they ever just being all talk and actuall attempt to try it, it will be fun to watch them get smacked down and it should shut them the hell up for a few decades.

Why are you do against Texas. They didn't even really want to be part of the states in the first place not saying it wasn't good that they joined but Texas always knew it could make it on its own but was a naive child afraid to leave the nest.

Allot of other states have good resources as well. Thats beside the point, you dont have to have resources to make it as a country.

Ok name another state that...

Has ocean access. Yeah the USA will just let this new country just use their infrastructure.
Oil makes the world go round. Any freight movement will need lots of oil.
A sizable militia. Texas has many organized militias currently functioning and training.
A large population. Those who decide to stay will have to take on the roles needed to make the new country work.
An decent infastructure that could support a country. Texas has the road, rail, air ports, sea ports, and border crossings to conduct business easily world wide.

Texas WILL secede before giving up our guns.

There are things that Texans will tolerate, but giving up the 2nd Amendment and losing the ability to DEFEND ourselves and our families against SCUMBAG criminals, drug-lords and gangsters from below our borders as well as within the states, is NOT an option. NOT up for debate.

Family and their safety and security matters more than some modern day gun-hating TRAITORS looking to kill our Constitution and Bill Of Rights that We The People are blessed with having in America.

dont worry about us.. we have everything we need here in texas.. you can let us go we can handle our own self.. we would probably want to build a huge fence though to keep all of the people out from other states that will be flocking here for real freedoms...
