I had a front row seat to this one, because it happened right up the street & I heard it all on the scanner. Eddie jones wrestled the gun off the female officer, shot the cops, then he got shot and killed. He was brought in for stalking his x girlfriend. He has prior s, and he had his cuffs taken off during processing. All of our local police dept.s responded, heard sirens zooming by for hours. A little while ago, police escorted his body to the morgue.....

The man [correctional officer shooter], over powered a female that was probably my size. Her side arm was on her. So, I don't think it was laying on some desk. Probably a 240 man tackling a 86 pound woman. See the difference? Plus, correctional officers are more brutal at tackling than officers. They don't deal with football everyday.

This is what puzzles me. It's a frickin cop shop. Why was her gun not locked down in her holster? She was pointing at the guy amid numerous other cops? WTF?

He was being irate when they first picked him up for stalking also. This whole scenario started out bad

From what I understand, he was physically fighting this female officer pretty good. All I can imagine is that they must have been understaffed?? Great point though....

So, will add in Adrenaline and his training. 400 pound man hyped up out of control on an 86-100 pound women. No matter what she did, she still would of lost the fight. Where's Steven Segal when you need him?

No. I don't see that. It's a police station. Loads of cops and support staff around. If this large man attacked this female I still have 2 questions. 1-How did he get the gun off of her when it should have been locked down? 2- Where was ANYONE else, cop or support worker, to aid this officer? This smells.

Ask your yourself this question...How big is this town?

If the town is not big, then there is not going to be a precinct of 50 officers...More like 2-4 officers in the building. It can happen. I've been to small towns. Reminds me of the Andy Griffith Show.

A HUGE stretch on the part of the gun grabbers if they think this story furthers their agenda.

I think more it shows how foolish the idea of armed guards or cops would be in schools. That idea is as stupid and banning guns.

Actually Gloucester twp. Is big. My town, which is right next door, is very small. We use Gloucester twp.s k9's and extra man power when anything occurs in my town. Then again, nothing like this has happened around here as far as I can remember, and I have lived here all my life...

Just IMAGINE how many MORE deaths would have occurred if the cops were UNARMED!!!!!!!

They ELIMINATED the threat quickly... because they were ARMED.

Something that our children's SCHOOLS need to consider because armed guards and/or staff is they ONLY way to stop these shooters QUICKLY or stop it from ever happening in the FIRST PLACE!!!!!

Just ask our politicians whose children's schools are all ARMED!! Its good for THEIR children
but not good for OURS!!! Ridiculous!!!!!!!!

I agree. When they picked this guy up last night, they thought he was on 'something' because of how he was acting. I heard everything from that point forward over the scanner until they went, what I call, 'dark'. Which I hate! I did hear it to the point that officers were down, then heard very minor things within a 2 hour scanner 'blackout'. SO ANNOYING!'

So basically it was one of their own that shot the officers. He worked for the Department of Corrections. How did this guy pass psyche?

Eddy jones the third had priors, and he was a communication operator at garden state youth correctional facility, for the nj department of corrections in Burlington county. He had a civilian position. They just showed the female officer on t.v., and she is young and tiny looking.....it's been on every channel all day long....

Here are some pieces of the 911 call that I heard over the scanner. It's pretty much how I heard a little of it, however, I wish they would have added from when they 1st had to go out to pick him up. I also believe I heard one of the officers transported one of the wounded officers via car...www.nbcphiladelphia.com...
