Can't seem to find the report in Reuters about it.
What is "inothernewz.com"?

The image is of the BP explosion. It's a hoax.
www.cbsnews.com...

That appears to be fake....I can't find any other source other than inothernewz.com
And that's including searching Reuters which is what inothernewz claims to be their source!

I just searched the name of that island and the local news for that island, seems like the only thing real about that story is the Island itself!

Pity that, a meteor of large size could have doubled their GNP or better!
I hope it is confirmed but have serious doubts now....

As members have pointed out, there are no news sources to back up the claim of a fireball or anything else striking the Marquesas Islands.

This isn't a reflection on the OP, but a result of some web-sites manufacturing hoaxes.
