Hello ATS staff,

I'm having an issue with my messages. For whatever reason, when I try to read a message while on my iPad, 9 times out of ten it won't work. But I can send messages, and occasionally even read a message on my iPad. If I'm on my computer, all works fine.

Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

Happy holidays to you all!

I'd have to agree...

Seriously though... What exactly is the problem? Is it that the messages screen won't open, or a new message won't open to read it or something along those lines?

When I try to open a message, it just disappears. It won't open. It will be there later if I log on with my computer, so it doesn't actually go anywhere.

I'm sure aliens are involved somehow....or at least the sinister Apple company.

It's the aliens employed by the sinister Apple corporation. They randomly pick one person to screw with, and apparently you're the current winner.

Personally, I haven't liked Apple (with the exception of the iPod), since our old Mac SE days. They treat people like crap, and they're so hard to get support for.

Well, hell.

Guess I'll just use my laptop to check messages.

Not to fear, though. I only use my iPad when wearing my full tin foil body armor and while in a seltzer bath. It negates the alien technology, you know. Especially if you use lavender.

I have heard everything is semper's fault, so he probably did it

Someone else had a similar issue. Here's Springer's reply:

The last update to the iOS has screwed up access to PMs, I first noticed it on my iPad while I was traveling a few weeks ago. Nothing we can do about it on this end, hopefully the next iOS update will correct it.

Springer...

Unfortunate indeed.

I wrote a similar thread here regarding reading messages on my iphone.

Seems as Springer suggests that it is an iOS6 issue and obviously there's not too much ATS can do about it.
I had a feeling Apple would begin going to the dogs after Steve Jobs died and so far I've seen nothing that's prove me wrong. I rue the day I upgraded to iOS6.

If you get a lttle bored Smylee or there's a message you desperately want to read you can try and select the messages and then paste onto a Word Doc. Everything there still works it's just that you cant see it. Good luck trying to reply though...
