I recently visited a thread in which an ATSer put up an idea: We could develop a way to identify other members when we walk into one in our daily life. This member proposed a "secret hand sign"... But another member pointed out that in some countries this hand sign could maybe be considered offensive. Another proposed that we invent a passphrase, but then you have language translation issues and contextual issues.

So, we suggested the Secret Ats Ribbon idea. Each of us can wear a white ribbon (white is the color of the truth, as it is a reflexion of all colors), with 3 bars on it, bars which represent the 3 letters of ATS. This ribbon can be wear as a ring, as a bracelet, around the neck, as an earring, anywhere. That way we can identify a fellow ATSer in the streets just by seeing if he (or she) wears a SAR.

Spread the idea! We live in troubled times... and in troubled times, recognition between fellow members can strongly helps avoid conflict.

That's an even better idea than the hand sign or a secret phrase. It's easy to make (just cut a piece of white fabric and put 3 bars on it), and it's easy to conceal. Nobody but other ATSers knows what it means, it's fun.

I wear mine as a ring:

Ok, not exactly classy, but i didn't had a lot of equipement; you can use metal, plastic, beads even.

I wear mine as a bracelet for now. Like you, I used metal for my bars. I guess you also could basically just draw the 3 bars with a marker but I wanted mine to be more professionnal.

I might wear it in another way, though.

That already makes 3 of us!

I'm sure more will come. We need this.

There's a new Secret Society in town ... stay tuned for ATS articles and reports of mass sightings and their plans to take over the world!

Your premise assumes that everyone in ATS is on the same side.
Some of the recent discussions make that a very dubious proposition.

Yes. But we share alot. It is the things we share that makes us strong against the enemy.

I like the idea....but....there are a whole bunch of people on ATS that I am not sure I want to run into.

Further, this site is publicly accessible and therefore anybody that reads this, member or not, would be able to participate hence defeating the "secret" part.

In a sense, we're all on the same side. We might share different views sometimes, but we should all deny ignorance and seek the truth.

The word secret is, of course, relative, as this site is a public ressource.

Exactly. That's what defines us, and that's what makes us different than the others.

RATS forum might have been a good place for this, for those worried about prying eyes.

This is actually a fantastic idea, Swan.

I've always wondered if I'd run across a fellow ATS'er.
But there's no way to show it or express it.

I used to wear my ATS shirt when I went places...
Now I just wear any shirt with a conspiracy angle plastered on it.
If the conversation gets brought up, then ATS gets mentioned.
Other than that...it's a big hush-hush.
I guess people really don't understand us conspiracy folks.

I really don't care if people know I'm on this site.
I'd actually like more people to be actively researching things too.
Maybe if they know me or see me, it would spark more interest.

Well, at least you'll know they're ATSers.

Whoever wants to find it would find it anyway...You only need a certain number of posts to get in there.

Well at least' you'll know when to watch out. And you can alway hide the ribbon when you see a ribbon you don't know.
