I suppose none of you right leaning NRA members recall the outrageous, over the top rhetoric from La Pierre back in the 90s that caused George Herbert Walker Bush to denounce the NRA and mail his life time membership card back in to them... The threat of anti gun legislation is great news to people in the business of selling guns and there is a lot more gun business in the USA than anywhere else in the world.. People weren't responding as they were expected to when Clinton was in office by purchasing a mess of firearms so the La Pierre, Bush disagreement occurred as a means of stirring up business.... Who is to say that big business and the government are above setting up other situations that would send people out to gun shops to load up on guns and ammunition before dropping the hammer on the same people and take their guns away... It will happen at some point and only those with undocumented pieces will be left alone.. I know a lot of folks that would never vote for a republican even for dog catcher but do own guns and use them to hunt... What makes them different from the NRA crowd is that they don't advertise the fact that they own guns or belong to the NRA.

I am pretty damn sure that it was the Demoncraps that pushed the Hate Crimes legislation through Congress. I remember that the big issue surrounding that bill, was that it wasn't really about curbing racism or preventing attacks and/or discrimination against homosexuals, but it was more intended to be a used as a tool against clergy, many of which do spout some pretty separatist rhetoric. But, as long as there are no calls to violence or other illegal form of injury, that rhetoric is speech protected by the First Amendment.

For me, that would explain how a Congressman could blatantly violate that Hate Crimes legislation, as well as numerous other laws, with no hint of a conscience, and it seems like no real consequences.

It should be the second biggest story of the day behind the elementary school false flag shooting. A currently serving Representative actually identifies a group of individuals by their affiliation with an organization and their ideology on gun ownership and the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, and then he openly and publicly calls for, advocates, and encourages, that they be murdered, for their BELIEFS! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Seriously, how is that not a Federal Offense? Why is it that this hateful treasonous piece of garbage is not sitting in a cell waiting to see a judge and to learn with which offences, I mean CRIMES, he's going to be charged? What if some idiots out there actually follow his asinine suggestion? Will he be held responsible and accountable for his imbecilic rantings and the deaths that result from the reckless raving of a fool?

Not all Democrats are Liberals. That said, This guy just shot himself in the foot. He is promoting shooting half of his base. Democrats like the idea of preserving the Constitution too. If they go too far there will be a Republican majority in the House and Senate next election cycle. I know a lot of Democrats who love their guns and would switch parties over the issue.

This just goes to show you the real mindset behind the socialist revolutionary. His goals would be much more easily achievable if those NRA members weren't armed, wouldn't it?

Preemptive strike? Anyone? I'd say that was an act of aggression that needs to be dealt with.

(A) What makes you think that NRA members are the only ones with guns?

(B) You might want to re-think making blanket threats of violence in this forum or in this context....or anywhere else for that matter.

I knew there would be someone like you to point out that it is perfectly fine for a socialist politician to make blanket threats against a group he opposes, but it's not okay for someone like me to infer the same against them.

Socialism. They're going to try it and get civil war instead. Then insurrection. These are not threats - they are predictions.

Hey dipsh*&...It wasn't OK for this idiot to "Twit" what he did and he apologized as he should have...and it's not OK for you to encourage people to shoot people either! WTF is wrong with you?

So I need to be wiped from the face of the earth eh?

So I am a domestic terrorist eh?

The NRA hasn't stopped anything eh?

Neither had government, their laws for an act that is already illegal murder.

I coiuld sink to that guys level, but everyone knows all us nra members and gun owners are pure evil however none of us pulled the trigger in CT that day.

If some people want to live in a country where only the police, criminals, and military are the only ones that have guns feel free I don't.

Excuse me for thinking outside the box, but WHAT IF.

What if the police didn't require guns because the 300 million + guns had been removed from society so the criminals didn't have guns?

What if the military was just a small, almost insignificant, standing army as the country didn't have an aggressive foreign policy?

Reading like a lot of citizens in the worlds greatest democracy seem to think they can only effect change through the use of a gun.

So, they are finally admitting that THEY, and not the gun owners, are the ones advocating murder? Where is the outcry over this? Why haven't I seen this in any of the news stories I have read today?

Call us terrorists....then state we should be murdered....

Un-freaking-believable!

Isn't it illegal to call for someone to be killed like that - inciting violence against others or a group or something?

I thought it was....

Well, yes, it is. It's also illegal to call for the killing of white babies, and to take a weapon to a polling place, but we no longer have a Justice Department. We have an Injustice Department, that caters to those with WH approval, and ignores any cases against them, while inventing new ways to demonize the opposition.

I just had to give a star for this post.
I'm a staunch conservative, but, I know many stand up democrats.
Just like the ones described in that post.

As a nation, I sincerely hope we regain our national sanity...soon.
We're being divided, and, soon to be conquered.
If we ALL don't realize this soon, I fear the worst case scenario will soon come to fruition.

The only winners will be tyrants, fascists and international bankers.

*snip*As for the credibility of an argument where a single "tweet" by a single idiot being representitive of several hundred million folks? Well....Please go ahead and continue to defend that logic......

"Several hundred million people"??? The entire nation is only about 305 million, so where are the "several hundred million" Democrats? How is that claim logical or credible?

The OP took a "tweet" by a man in Texas and extrapolated it to anyone opposed to unregulated gun ownership.

That is several hundred Million folks worldwide.

Where are the statistics for that? No data, no facts? Not credible. Plus, that tweet wasn't just the one guy; others responded in support. That one guy is a politician, too, calling for murdering people he doesn't like. Since when is that NOT a crime? Why isn't he in jail?
