Okay, I'm messing on the helioviewer.org... on Stereo B, You have this bright object that comes in and leaves. It can't be a planet because it looks too squashed for that, and I was trying to make a movie but I got a new hard drive and it won't open my other files from the old hard drive.. If someone can make a movie of this I would appreciate it. :p

Anyways, What do you think this is?

Surprised it hasn't been talked about.

So that is a whole week that this thing just hangs around the Sun.

So I know it's no lens flare or a fake artifact...


Looks to bright to even be a satellite.

No, for a full week, it comes in, crosses horizontally and then leaves the same way. It never hits the Sun or even comes out of the Sun but the explosion from the sun I think it makes it brighter. Ugh, so aggravating. Trying to get this on a movie so I can show you all.

Wow...just seen the video. Pretty cool looking. To big to be a satelit for sure.

Can we exclude a bright planet like Venus passing by?

Yeah, light works in mysteries ways, it can make a rock on Mars look like a rodent, as seen in an ATS thread earlier this monrth.

It wouldn't give off light like that. It's not reflecting light it's actually illuminating it's own.



^ Look at that heat shield. Or some type of shield. It's obviously experiencing friction.

That wouldn't happen with Mercury.

This picture is towards the end of the Video. After the passing.



Now it has 2 heat shields? Receiving friction from both sides?

This is why I don't think it's a planet.

Look how small the object was when it was almost in the middle of Cor2 and the sun..

Not only that, OP I'd like to make it aware to you that we miss nearly a day in your video.

The jump is from 27-29. We do not see 11/28/12. When the object is directly in the middle.

It takes Mercury 88 days to rotate around the sun.

It's not Mercury.

I would say it was mercury to, to explain the changing "shape" i would automatically assume it is like earth different sides being lit at different times by the sun for example like the different crests of the moon, we know that its round but to the eye in certain crests its a bitten biscuit. Mercury is my answer with different angles of light reflecting.

That was the best I could do. I went by how helioviewer set it up. So if it skipped a day then it has to be them. You know how they like to block stuff out. lol

I don't think it's a planet either.

OP is using Stereo B Cor 2

Here is the passage of Mercury between Stereo B.



The date of the passage.

Positions of STEREO A and B for 2012-10-06 00:00 UT

Now that means Mercury has already passed through Stereo B.

So that means another 88 days for it to orbit back to Stereo B.

The video is showing an Object pass through Stereo B on 11/28/12 which we cannot see because it's taken from the video.

That is too short of time for Mercury to orbit around again.
