At the height of the bombing of Gaza, legal proceedings directed against the State of Israel involving the initial hearings of the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission were launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The decision to launch these proceedings was taken by the Commission in May of 2012.

Pertaining to alleged Israeli war crimes, the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission heard the testimonies of nine complainants.

The following summary of testimonies presented to the Commission provides a historical background on Israeli crimes against humanity extending from the Sabra Shatila Massacres to the 2008-2009 Operation Cast Lead, which resulted in the killings of entire families.

The Commission heard testimonies of witnesses continuing with the 15-year-old Mahmoud whose 21 family members were massacred by Israeli armed forces under Operation Cast Lead in 2009 where Israeli armed forces attacked Gaza.

Note : Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission was established by Kuala Lumpur Foundation to Criminalise War (KLFCW) , a non-governmental organisation established under the laws of Malaysia on 12 March 2007. The Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission investigates cases of war crimes that have been neglected by established institutions such as the International Criminal Court. The Commission seeks to influence world opinion on the illegality of wars and occupation undertaken by major Western powers.

Yesterday , Palestinians achieved their goal of being upgraded to nonmember observer state status at the United Nations , same status as given to the Vatican city , with the right to file complaint at the International Criminal Court [ICC] . So, i believe time has come to start investigating all the war crimes that Israel commited against the people of Palestine with the support of Western Powers . No one should be spared for killing the innocents in the name of war . Any Thought ?

Mahmoud who was only 12-years-old at the time of 2009 attacks, saw his father shot in cold blood by the Israeli soldiers. He told the panel that he and his friends were playing football and mud balls around a fruit tree when they saw F16 planes flying in the area and shooting bombs and missiles.
Displaying maturity beyond his young age, Mahmoud related the terrifying ordeal he and his family underwent during the January 2009 attacks. The soldiers while shooting randomly at the family shot his 4-year-old brother twice in the chest and once in the head and four of his other brothers in their legs and behind the ear.

[Gaza, January 2009] “I went to her and realized that my mother (Rahma Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Samony, then aged 43) died with half of her face blown away. My father (Talal Hilmy Mahmoud Al-Samony, then aged 49) and my only daughter (Aza Salah Talal Al-Samony, then aged 2.5) also died, with their face disfigured. A total of 21 of my family members died. More than 50 of them were injured. There was screaming, shouting and crying. Blood was everywhere. I lifted my daughter and she had wounds on her neck and stomach. She was dead. Then, I heard my wife calling my name. I went to her. There were a lot of dead bodies on top of her. Then, I slowly pulled her out. She was injured and she was covered in blood. Three of my sons were badly injured and the other one had difficulties in breathing even now.”

In the early hours of the morning [Sabra and Shatila witness testimony], about 16-17 armed soldiers entered her home and shot her husband, brother and cousin dead in front of her and children. She related that militia entered homes and shot at everyone including children and animals.

“Along the way to the stadium, I saw my cousin’s daughter who was pregnant lying dead. The murderers had opened her body and taken out her baby and put the baby on her. The child was dead as well. She was lying on the street.”

“Along the street there were a lot of dead bodies. Hundreds of bodies were strewn all over. We climbed a hill to the stadium. At the nearest houses I could see bodies of children. Between the houses, which had been half destroyed, there were bodies of men, and also women and children and animals.”

Here's a thought... will Palestine now be held responsible for launching rockets from the middle of residential areas, putting their women and children in harms way?

So, an Islamic NGO commission that seeks for justice, but only upon major Western powers?

Eastern powers are angels then?

So much for justice, fairness, impartiality and rule of law.

I knew you would come as a Saviour of Israel . I don't mind investigating all the War crimes as am neutral and i don't take sides when civilians are killed . Arrest all those war criminals from Palestine as well and hang them too . In this way , we will see free and fair justice . But most importantly , ICC should start the investigation immediately

As long as the investigation is fair, bilateral, and not biased in any way- then, yes all legitimate war criminals should be brought to justice

Me, only an insignificant nobody, now proclaimed as a Saviour by you? That's laughable.

Anyway, go on, a biased eye for an eye and see what the world will be left with.

I agree. One problem though, the western powers will do everything they can to avoid any persecution and I'm sure they have more than one dirty trick up their collective sleeves.

Its surprising to see how you tried to divert the attention into religion and region . Sorry this thread has nothing to do with religion or region but on free and fair investigation on war crimes.

Speaking of Malaysia, here's some quotes from it's former PM Mathahir Mohommad.

I think it's a portrait into Malaysia's (along with other Muslim countries) general antisemitic culture. So it's a bit ironic for them to be holding a war crimes commission when it's former PM had no difficulty making such vitriolic statements about Jews...Undoubtedly with public acclamation.

In January 2010, at The General Conference For The Support of Al Quds, Mahathir stated, regarding the Holocaust and Israel, that:

“The Jews had always been a problem in European countries. They had to be confined to ghettoes and periodically massacred. But still they remained, they thrived and they held whole Governments to ransom...Even after their massacre by the Nazis of Germany, [Jews] survived to continue to be a source of even greater problems for the world...The Holocaust failed as a final solution.”

So they HAD to be confined to ghettos, and HAD to be periodically massacred? And the Germans were justified in their attempt at a "final solution"? I find it amazing that a prime minister could make such comments without any serious public backlash. His feigned ignorance of the history of why Jews were confined to ghettos, and why so many of them entered finance (being denied entry into any other trades) only makes his comments more menacing.

Mahathir also stated that:

"Creating a state for them was thought to be a better solution. It could be if some European territory had been allocated to make a permanent ghetto for the Jews. But of course if this was done then the affected European state would rise in arms and kill all the Jews the way they had been doing before. So the debate was about creating an Israeli state in Uganda, Africa, or somewhere in Latin America or Palestine of course."

Nice that he should be so kind to consider Europe creating "a permanent ghetto" for its Jews. Instead of being free like all human beings, he thinks they should be treated like cattle. One wonders what would happen to the Jews of Israel if Arab armies ever invaded it. Would the world complain at the subsequent war crimes? Oh, for a bit. But then I'm sure some will say "they had it coming", just as Jews have always had it coming....from the church, from the tzars, from the nazis....

We [Muslims] are actually very strong, 1.3 billion people cannot be simply wiped out. The Europeans killed 6 million Jews out of 12 million [during the Holocaust]. But today the Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them. They invented socialism, communism, human rights and democracy so that persecuting them would appear to be wrong so they may enjoy equal rights with others. With these they have now gained control of the most powerful countries. And they, this tiny community, have become a world power.

This again shows the prevalence of conspiracy theories in the Muslim world. "Jews" control the world. Forget the fact that they are only a minority in banking, business, etc, albeit, over represented, but that only confirms the fact that Jews tend to excel in all academic or worldly enterprises (in science, some 15% or so of all Nobel prize winners are Jewish; the Jewish state is a world leader in computer technology and other innovations etc)

The same crap is pulled on Islamic states so I don't see what the problem is here. Israel needs to be held accountable for it war crimes also.. Not just the big bad boogeyman the west see fit from the Arab world.

Great, when can the proceedings start on the USA and Europe? Isn't funny how everything you just mentioned doesn't apply to the USA. Even an accusation of warcrimes is ridiculous according to your leaders.

My thought is that this is not the way you're going to get peace - and precisely why the US voted against the UN bid. You really think dragging Israel through the ICC with these kind of threats is going to make the situation better? Or make Israel change its behavior? It's just going to make them more intransigent....as the news about the 3,000 new settlements today proves. Honestly, the Palestinians gaining this new status in the UN has set the peace process back even further. The US was correct on this one - they weren't just blindly sticking up for Israel.

You really can't believe much that comes out of Palestine. They have been caught red-handed far too many times for my comfort to take anything as the honest truth.

There is a reason they call it PALLIWOOD. Pleny of people acting the part of the victim

The only reason Israel are worried this will stall the peace process is because Palestinians are getting closer to having voice on the world stage and when they do, the Israeli atrocities are going to surface also... If I were Israel, I would be worried, not about stalling peace either. I can also understand why the US sees this as a bad thing..

I have a thought. I almost bet that Israel will attack Gaza if it becomes a state. I fear they will use total war and roll through killing everything in their path until they hit the egyptian border
