As we are getting more and more crazy weather around the world, unusual things are becoming more common, especially in the age where everyone has a mobile phone or digital camera that can capture these images.

you are right and wrong, its not more crazy weather, its more recording devices are around to capture events that happen.
then we get the headlines about crazy weather and people believe it.

an example of crazy was an ice berg floating past New Zealand which was grabbed with both hands by climate scientists as proof of global warming, but the same thing happened in 1931 and iirc there have even been older repots which makes this event a bit more common even though it appears infrequent in the human life span.

I enjoyed the post, I just dont enjoy the hysteria of everything being crazy weather now.

No, it's just that 30, 40, 50, 100, 500, 1,000 years ago, less people had mobile phones with cameras on them to capture such scenes.

Actually, no one had mobile phone more than 30 years ago....prior to that was video cameras, black and white photo cameras with a huge flash that went POOF, paper, and finally cave drawings....

I have been searching for images of cave drawings depicting water spouts and have , to be honest had very little success. In fact no success. Wonder why that is?
