I was sitting on my couch and my dog was acting very strange, whining which he doesnt normally do. Then, I felt the entire house rock for about 30 seconds. I think we just had a very small earthquake.

I know we sit on a fault here. It is not showing on any of the quake websites.

If it wasnt a quake what could it have been?

Its quite possible since we just had a pretty good tremor here in Knoxville TN as well.

I think we did. I'm sitting here at work and my co-worker said he felt a tremor through his office chair and saw his monitor shake right after. I looked online but I haven't seen anything yet. Oh, I'm located in Elizabethtown, KY by the way.

less than a mile deep. Could it have been a mine collapsing...or explosion...

I hope it was some rich elite persons underground bunker collapsing. If they are going to engineer a disaster I hope they get caught up in it too, no escaping.

I'm in East TN & really felt it!!

One of the dogs jumped up and started looking around. The other one could have cared less.

(and some weirdness. My wireless internet router went down right before it happened. I've had that router for 8 years and have only had to restart it maybe 3 times)

This is the heliplot for Lake Retreat, Alabama. It's the closest one from what I keep on my sites to Kentucky. This link loads it from USGS directly so it should update.

Hopefully this was just a passing thing and a quirk to be left laughing about soon with nothing more.

From Louisville but spending the weekend out by Barren River and did not feel anything ...

Missed the last one too, was around 2008 or so I believe ... was in Gatlinburg, Tennessee that weekend.

I always seem to miss them.

If anyone notices large "herds" of snakes, frogs, worms, or any ground dwelling creature leaving the area, please take note of when they gathered and the direction they are traveling. Often ground dwelling creatures and even birds will leave an area. It would be a good idea to follow if you can.
