Hamas PM welcomes Qatari ruler, hails breaking of Gaza’s isolation

The nation of Qatar has granted $400 million to aid Gaza.

With all the turmoil in Gaza, we need to find out just who will benefit the most.

The emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani went to Gaza himself to "deliver" the aid.

The "rival" Palestinian Authority government in the West Bank are upset because Hamas is the "ruler" of Gaza.

The money may help "ease" effects from Israeli blockades.

Story from The Times of Israel

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — The emir of Qatar received a hero’s welcome in Gaza on Tuesday, becoming the first head of state to visit the Palestinian territory since the Islamist Hamas seized control of the coastal strip five years ago.

The visit of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani was called “historic and courageous” by Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, who greeted and embraced the sheikh on his arrival in Gaza. The visit “has broken the political and economic blockade of the Gaza Strip,” Haniyeh said. “This visit proves Gaza is not alone.”

During the arrival ceremony, Haniyeh announced that Al Thani was increasing Qatar’s Gaza aid package to $400 million, significantly higher than the previously announced $250 million figure.......

Hmmm. Sunni Qatar funding Shia Hamas, when on any normal day they'd be blowing up each others' mosques with congregants kneeling in prayer...

Something stinks.

Sunni Qatar funding Shia Hamas . . .

You may be thinking of Hezbollah, which is Shia.
Ismail Haniyeh, Prime Minister of Gaza, is Sunni.

Hamas is also Shia, at least their major sponsor is Shia Iran.

The new Sunni President of Egypt, in his inaugural speech said, 'We are all Hamas, now'.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend" - Old Arab proverb.

If they get their way and wipe the "Zionist entity" from the pages of history, I'd give them about 3 days before they were at each others throats.

Majority of Palestinians are Sunnis.

Hamas only accepted the persian apostate infidel leader's help because they had been fooled by him that he supported their cause, which was not true, and had only mercilessly used hamas to prolong the war with the jews, to fulfil his personal agenda of sectarian distraction while building up its strength and power.

Hamas finally woke up to reality with the Syrian uprising, whereby Sunnis were slaughtered, simply because they were sunnis, by the shia leader humanslayer Assad and protected by the persian apostate.

For years, the rest of the ME states had not helped Hamas, only because of its militant and terroristic stance, of using violence upon innocents, which is against the teachings of the good prophet Muhmamad.

But now, it had toned down, and it is with great compassion that Qatar is performing, when those funds could have been used instead to help their own people. May Hamas realizes it and seek for peaceful means to end the conflict with Israel, with no more policies such as ' pushing all jews into the seas', and start reponsibly giving welfare and progress to its citizens under their charge.

Equally may Israel see Qatar's attempt in the same light, respect it, end its settlement building programmes in the occupied zone and come to the negotiation table. An innocent new generation had been born, and do not deserve to be saddled by the weary laden baggages of the past.

Right but don't you think this "deceitful apostate" rhetoric could be coming from a biased point of view?
Just because some Sunnis got blown up thanks to people like the Ayatollah, and Assad doesn't mean they are bad people.

It probably will be transported thru the Rafah crossing with Egypt. Hamas has close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood-controlled govt of Egypt.
