I really do not see a turned around economy.

One cannot make it making 8.00$ an hour.

Is that the minimum wage? You have to be kidding! It costs 8 bucks for a meal at Mcdonalds right now. And 4 bucks for a gallon for gas. Was this kept so low due to the economy? Sure that helps the business owners. But um... folks have to be able to either eat or drive so they can work. Obviously they can't do both on those wages! What a disgrace! I am surprised that the minimum wage isn't a part of election year promises.

I guess if you're a vulture capitalists that means you must have the "magic recipe" for adding 20 million jobs

Massachussetts ranked 47th out of 50 states in Job growth under Romney

Massachusetts ranked 47th out of 50 states over the entirety of Romney’s four years as governor in terms of job creation. By comparison, Massachusetts ranked 37th in job growth under Swift, and it ranked 10th in Patrick’s first term.

By that measure, Romney had the worst record in a decade.

I believe it is here in Illinois.

Legislation was passed to raise it to like 9.00$ an hour, but it is a slow process.

I went down to visit my friend in the Atlanta area a few years ago and it was way lower than that. They all freaked out when I mentioned 8 an hour.

They can add all the jobs they want, but if they do not pay the bills then what is the point.

My unemployment does not even cover my rent and it is only $350.

Romney will open the floodgates for slave wages.

I'll take Romney's unemployment rate at 4.6% vs. Obama's at 7.8% (U6 = 14.7%).
The Massachusetts unemployment rate went down while Mitt Romney was governor.

BLS link from Article:
Unemployment rate - 5.6% in January 2003 to 4.6% in January 2007.

Swing state polls, the lagging indicator, have finally caught up to national polls.

October 22, 2012 WAPO SWING-STATE POLL LEANS ROMNEY: “In the seven states designated as ‘toss-ups’ by The Washington Post plus Ohio, it’s Romney 52 percent to Obama’s 46. That six-point margin is not a statistically significant edge given the sample size, but a reversal from where things have been, paralleling shifts in state polling over the past few weeks.”

Today's Polls, October 25th:

Romney 50% Obama 47% (Rasmussen)

Romney 50% Obama 47% (Gallup)

Romney 50% Obama 47% (ABC News/Washington Post)

Romney hit the 50% mark in all three, Obama at 47%.
