After she tweeted

“Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future. @mittromney @teamromney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney”

The replies came quick and fast implying why a black person should not vote for anyone other than their their own race, one wrote this

“RACIAL DRAFT: I LIKE TO REQUEST A TRADE TO SEND STACEY DASH TO THE CAUCASIANS TO ACQUIRE BILL CLINTON TO THE BLACKS,” wrote one person on Twitte

Another tweeted:

“We’ve been letting you slide for years! It's OVER.”

Both comments suggested Dash wasn’t “really” black because she had the audacity to vote for Romney. Still, another tweeted, “Stacey Dash had a perm since birth. . .I knew I couldn’t trust her.. Lol .”

So is there more racism in the black community than there is in the white community?

They pretend not to be racists but they are worse than whites.

This is just 'sticker shock' or whatever. I think its like that white lion.. Its rare. And especially in the Hollywood world. For her to be a: Young b: Hot and c: black make it triple shocking.

I support Obama for re-election. But think its sad that racism is still clearly prevalent if we are even pointing her out in support of Romney over the other dozens of Romney supporters in Hollywood. Pure racism.

Poor Stacey. Shes the black rappers go to girl for music videos nowadays. The poster woman of Trophy Chicks if you will

I've discovered that all communities are really much more racist in personal stances then they admit public. I speak enough Spanish to be able to know what my Hispanic neighbors are really saying around the dinner table about white people. Then again I know that Asians also say some horrible things about non Asians or even other groups of Asians. You should hear the stuff I've heard white people say in private about other races. All racial groups are equally racist about others behind closed doors.

That may be, but guess who gets away with it in public?

This^^^. I know that lots of people like to think that one group has it up on the other....but I bet all of us can remember (regardless of race) those family members with those rather "uncomfortable" views on race. It is what it is. As for Dash....meh....I could care less. She has money and is looking at the candidate who may best serve to help her hold on to said wealth. Cant be mad at her for that. Personally I think they are all crooks and skin color does not blind me to that truth.

ETA: This thread is gonna bring out some rather hateful views on its own as there are those who seem to salivate over race topics, looking for any opportunity to let their thinly veiled bigotry be known. And then there are the self strokers who star said posts. Shame that... as it only serves to make ATS a less pleasant place for everyone. I wait for the day when people stop believing that there is any difference at the low level. Black, white, brown, red or yellow.......you are still a useless eater.

Is this a serious question?
I've seen black people hold more pride in the stereotypes that get labeled racist, than a southern white man has in BEING racist!

With that said, everybody gets stupid on twitter because it's a chance to play standup comedian for the whole world. There's no way to say for sure which tweets are sincere and which aren't, unless it's explicitly stated or implied ( haha, 'explicitly implied' - there's an oxymoron for you) through punctuation faces or whatever. Remember, sarcasm and humor don't translate well in text without emoticons.

Here is my 2 cents.

One I hope that before this turns into a really offensive thread with everyone fighting about skin color, about a worn out actress and a half a sentence twitter saying, that this is moved to BTS.

We have so many other things that actually matter out there in the world then this being on ATS as being important when all it is going to turn into is a race debate that has NO relevance in the political forum.

Peace, NRE.

what would the world be like with romney.

1. war with iran. hint, the israeli's won't be fighting this one. so if you're in the military, and if you want to go to invade the persian empire and try to occupy a country with 70,000,000 heavily organized and armed insurgents, vote for romney.

your life span will be 3 months max.

2. if you like obama's strategy of not starting wars unless attacked, then vote for him. obama's strategy is based on reality, not on what ifs. vote obama.

3. the economy: romney's economic plan is simple. make the rich happy and re-affirm their belief that they are the best. their unbitterness will lead to a more happy workplace, and less firings and layoffs. vote romney.
unfortunately, you'll never see another raise for the next 4-8 years and your taxes will increase without notice to offset your bosses new tax havens, loopholes and tax cuts.

4. obama's economic plan is a bulldozer, it's going one way and stops for nobody. that means corporations, wall street, banks, lenders, realtors, retailers et al, better stop their crooked and unethical ways or risk oblivion under obamas regulations.

basically levelling the economic playing field. and access to opportunities, advancement and better pay and benefits. key word "access", meaning you can buy and have peanut butter because the cabinet is unlocked. not entitlement, freebies or socialism that they like to scare you with.

5. healthcare: romney's healthcare plan, like his other policies is impossible to define because it completely 180's every day. he's say's he'll repeal obamacare, then the next day he says nothing.
one day he believes corporations are people, but a baby in a mothers womb is not, then the next day he's rambling about food stamps. vote for romney if you like cracker jacks, gambling and surprises.

but its save to assume, the only ones who'll benefit from romneys healthcare are the insurance companies and its stock holders. not you, because you'll most likely be declined live saving coverage because a pimple would be considered a pre-existing condition.

6. obama's healthcare plan: everybody basically knows what they'll get, to bad no one understands it because it has been riddled with lies and half-truths. the one good thing, as a second term president, he can basically do what he wants and shape it to his original vision.

affordable access to 1st world medicine for all americans. vote obama.

Yeah seriously... it's a challenge to find a youtube video about ANYTHING without someone posting in the character of a lynch mob member.

There's a good book on the subject by Larry Elders. It's called "The Ten Things That You Can't Say In America".. And it is part of his claims.

The thing about Larry Elders is he's a black Conservative, and he does speak from personal experience about this phenomena.

Don't generalize all black people for the tweets of a few idiots. ''They'' pretend not to be racists. ''They'', that's a pretty broad brush you're painting with there, champ. Being racist, and being prejudiced are two different breeds of cat.

You hit the nail on the head. But threads such as these shows some ATSers true colors. Pun most definitely intended.

And what's this crap about the ''black community''? Like all black people are concentrated into one living area. I live in a community with black and white AMERICANS.

What? What?

It's just someone flipping their wig at her on Twitter. I really don't give a flying # who she votes for.

I wish ALL celebrities would BUTT OUT of American politics.

I didn't say I give a damn who she votes for. I could care less what celebs think. To me they're the scum of the earth. They pretend for a living and suck the blood of people who do the real work.

I'd have to say this describes the rich in general.

No, but you complained that black people are more racist than white people.

You offered nothing of substance to back up such a ridiculous claim.

I see that ATS is a haven for people who are racist, but will never admit it on a forum like this.
