It Is a bummer, I haven't heard anything about chat, I was just thinking "how great would it be if this site had live chat?" That's when I looked closer at the top of the page...

I see, because you are new here, you didn't know there was a chat function. but now you know, and you can't wait to get to 150 posts, because you can't wait to use the chat function.

We get that a lot with new members that don't know the place at all.

Once they find out about chat(off course they initially don't know, because they're new), all they want is that 150 post ribbon so they can get into chat.

They don't really care about posting threads and commenting on threads. They want the chat.

Well I can assure you I'm in no rush to get to 150 just for chat. I will post when I want or can, but certainly won't be going out of my way. This could explain a lot of posys I have seen from new members here though.

Welcome! I just signed up myself today, after YEARS of lurking. I don't know what came over me today, finally breaking down and officially joining! But I hope to be a good contributor in the days to come.

I myself am a long time lurker and new to ATS as well. Find myself browsing ats at work all the time. Seems like I'm getting paid to do this and not my actual job. Lol

Well I see your post could is closing in on 100, so I kind of figured it out, but I don't have a problem with it. As for me, well, it is MY thread, why wouldn't I return and keep replying to everyone who posts here?

Thanks although I've been addicted for the last year or so, I just decided to join so I too can voice my opinions, no matter how absurd they may seem. It's nice to be here, since I only have a handful of friends I can discuss half of these topics with that don't look at me like I have 2 heads.

Now you try and proove that your opinion is the best one by arguing with strangers about things you prob dont really care about. Or better yet, post cool things that I like to read.

I'm going to post about what I want, when I want, where I want and who I want. Wait, does that last one work? I guess it could work on multiple levels. Expect to see me popping up in most every section on topics that interest me. Anything from politics, religion, UFOs, conspiracies, and metaphysics. I may have left some out, but I will probably be there too. I will probably share some dreams here and there, like in sugarcookie1's thread about the White Buffalo Calf Woman.

I'd also like to hear from all of you, any questions or comments you may have. Doesn't matter how silly or off the wall, let's have fun with it! That's why we're here right? Aside from the trolls and anyone getting their doom porn fix, I know I like to get my daily dose of doom. So fire away, and let the fun begin!

My opinion is ALWAYS the best one, for me. I don't plan on doing much arguing, and if I do, nobody better be entering a battle of wits with me unarmed. I'm not sure exactly what you like to read, but I'll try to post the coolest stuff I can whenever possible.
