Another thing that is completely escaping you is that this OP was about the UK that has laws to protect children of 12 whereas in Tijuana which is predominantly Roman Catholic, it doesn't have to slink under the radar... it is COMPLETELY LEGAL.

Apparently, the effective age of consent is actually 18 although it is widely and mistakenly thought to be 12 by some people who are not Mexican.

There is also a "close-in-age" exception for 12 and 13 year olds: a 12 or 13 year old can consent to sexual activity with another young person who is less than two years older and with whom there is no relationship of trust, authority or dependency or other exploitation of the young person.

The federal law establishes the age of 12 as the minimum age of consent, while the age at which there are no restrictions for consensual sexual activities is 18 (sex with someone 12-18 is not illegal per se, but can still be open to prosecution under certain circumstances). Local state laws may override the federal law. In practice, the decision as to whether or not to prosecute is left to state authorities regardless of the younger person's age. I think we should differentiate between laws that seek to prevent a boy who is only 2 years older than a girl being charged with statutory rape and the situation where an adult male marries and has sex with a child.

Muhammad for instance had sex with Aisha when she was only 9 years old and he was 53.

How about that.

oh and furthermore, look at the top ten muslim countries age of consent. the average is 16 but there are a few that are 18, Egypt,Turkey, India... Hmmm...
