Obama Moves To Copy GOP On Medicare

Jeesh....

After all the BeeEss from Democrats we've been hearing about Medicare vouchers and how bad it would be, now all of a sudden we have the Health and Human Services Department starting a "pilot program" that would do just what they say is no good

And guess who the main targets are?

Yes, the poorest of Medicare recipients !!

This just goes to show how the Democrats are operating.

They blame and criticize and then simply do what they say is wrong anyway !!
(all so they can take credit if it works, and still cast blame if it fails)

The HHS didn't just think of this recently I bet.

I say they knew all along they were going in this direction.

And I say it was a "backup plan" just in case the voucher system seemed popular and workable and feasible.
(and even "necessary?)

Sneaky.

Now watch them try to take credit and use it as a political weapon as usual.

There are some differences between "plans".

President Obama has for the past several months attacked Republicans for Paul Ryan's Medicare "voucher" plan but now that the DNC is over, he's waffled and is attempting a similar program through the HHS.

In his convention speech in Charlotte, President Obama vowed to block the Republican Medicare reform plan because “no American should ever have to spend their golden years at the mercy of insurance companies.”

But back in Washington, his Health and Human Services Department is launching a pilot program that would shift up to 2 million of the poorest and most-vulnerable seniors out of the federal Medicare program and into private health insurance plans overseen by the states.

The administration has accepted applications from 18 states to participate in the program, which would give states money to purchase managed-care plans for people who are either disabled or poor enough to qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. HHS approved the first state plan, one for Massachusetts, last month.

now they are killing off the old people.

who are alone and no one to help them.

how much do you wanna bet that mortality rate for those 2 million won't be very long.

an insurance company deciding if a senior needs a $400,000 procedure to live more than 6 months.

thats not going to happen.

a senior complaining about pains, under an insurance company bought doctor, the most they'll get is take an aspirin and a don't worry, everything's fine.

leave it up to the gop to introduce this idea, they can't wait for old people to die so the can collect the inheritance.

Team Obama keeps insisting that ObamaCare or any kind of nationalized health care is NOT going to deny treatment and allow people who would otherwise live, die.

That is a lie.

Here is Obama himself answering the question of a woman whose mother had a pacemaker installed at age 100 - after the first surgeon said she was too old. She's now 105.

Apparently he did not anticipate that this would become a big issue and answered truthfully, trying to appear to be a prudent manager of health care resources. Now he's denying that he meant what he said.
Taking a pain pill and dying: In Obama's own words

Jane asks the President if her 100 year old mother (now 105) would have gotten a pacemaker under his plan. Well now that's a tough one ... that costs a lot and maybe we will have to say, just take a pill. Priceless.

"Obama to Jane Sturm: Hey, take a pill"

How soon they forget !!

Sure sounds like a death panel to me who the hell is he or government to decide what gets covered and what treatment to give.

Take a pill?

Wow and the tripe they blame the GOP for nothing but a bunch of hypocrits.

You have to kind of understand what a voucher program is before you start calling everything a voucher program.

Under the GOP plan for medicare you would received X amount of money from your state government for a procedure. If the procedure costs Y amount of money, you would have to pay out of pocket to make up the difference, with no further assistance from the government.

What HHS is doing now is testing a program that combines the funds from medicare with the funds from medicaid and, if needed, funding any remaining amount from the federal government.

So no, this is not copying the GOP plan.

You can read more from the HHS, here.

So Obama is copying the Republican death panels?
And let me guess, you need a Republican to save us from it?

Those of us that knew of his heart condition and saw the footage of him red faced and drinking that KEPT coming up, knew he was not going to last much longer. He was supposed to avoid alcohol because of his heart condition. Maybe you can convince me Obama gave him the heart condition but he seemed to be drinking his own drinks on his own just fine.
He did leave all that info to still be exposed, right? So what was it?
