I appreciate the humor.

Care to post anything on topic though?

If someone doesn't hurry up and dig some extra terrestrial stuff up my head is going to implode with all the wondering.

Nice find, though.

Man, all your threads are awesome! The things you dig up and find are so incredible, just to know how many people go day by day without ever realizing how magnificent us as a species [sometimes] are.

Awesome thread, I wish I had more to add... but unfortunately I don't. Keep up the threads Slayer.

It's certainly something interesting, I'd say. Looks like we're missing a giant chunk of human history made on this corner of civilization.

does anyone realize that mummies & such are dug up in the name of science...and that makes it legal?just think a thousand yrs from now,(if earth survives that long),that they will be digging up OUR bodies,in the name of science & research?my point is...it is just appalling that you really DON'T have a final resting place.

Lord Pakal's height is indeed nowhere to be found.
His tomb lid however measures 2.2 by 3.8 meter...
But you're probably already aware of that.
Some info and pictures here

Nice find, thanks for the thread.

Awesome link. thanks for keeping us posted on this.

Now, can somebody tell me how they got the lid down there? They must have built the whole structure around it after is was put into position...

I hope that our modern people's remains can aid people in the future in discovering their origins and learn the truth about how life was today.

We will be dead so really it won't hurt any.

If there is a good reason to dig up a body, maybe we should be open to the positive things it can bring?
(Contributing to overall human progress and profiting all peoples.)

We should be careful to distinguish that from the alternative, someone using it for a negative purpose (tomb robbing for personal gain, etc).
