1- Observe through your own eyes.

2- Analyze the observations with your own mind.

3- Try to write your principles of life in a notebook.

4- Try to find the questions necessary about your past and future.

5- Try to find faith in something. Then find the edge of illusion and truth.

6. Stop swimming in the pool of others illusions. Your observations , your mind.

7- Surrender the truth whether you have heard it before or not. That involves you ignore your selfishness and bigotry.

I'm guessing you are young, eating all sorts of unhealthy fast food....enough said.

I guess that all depends on how you would define what is becoming predictable. My days are predictable enough in a physical sense...but blogging and everything I do outside of it..plus the school courses...I wouldn't say mentally comfortable is remotely close.

Is it both physical and mental inactivity/comfort or just mental to avoid?

I recently started forgetting what I was going to say, look up on google or even how to spell the simplest of words. One night I was focusing on the word "how" and could not get my fingers to type it out correctly.

THIS is exactly what I'm talking about! This is the story of my life! I can't speak for the others I know who claim to have memory problems but as far as my issues go, you hit the nail on the head!

I used to pride myself on my good memory. I can remember things that happened when I was VERY young. Now I find myself forgetting about things that I remembered for years. More than once, my mother or one of my sisters has mentioned something that happened when I was young and several times when I've told them I don't remember it, one of them has said, "well, you just talked about it not long ago..." It's depressing.

I don't think that's all there is to do with it. I'm very young myself at the ripe age of twenty and am having just about as many problems as these older folks. I don't eat unhealthy fast food every day or even ever. It gives me a sick stomach and so I don't consume it very often or in very large quantities. I eat healthy foods and my mother has her own garden where she grows a lot of vegetables and things so I eat a lot of veggies and natural foods that haven't been tainted by corporate hands.

It's obvious, lack of basic nutritional needs. Eat healthy. Eat raw food for a while.

Talk about losing your mind. .. I too suffer from Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. There is a condition they like to call " Fibro Fog '" for cognitive difficulties which are a land mark of the disease.
Personally, I think it is all those inoculations we received during child hood compliments of corporate drug companies lobbying the FDA to mandate all these vaccines. JMO. Wasn''t mercury one of the metals used in a preservative of vaccines? I thought I was losing my mind too. Come to find out I have a syndrome of undetermined origins. Many of them overlap each other. It is a wonder I can make any sense at all...let alone remember any names words, etc.

I'm getting there quickly! No joke, it's getting to the point that I wonder why I even let it bother me anymore.

I'm glad you brought this up OP. I myself have been having short term memory issues. I take daily Omega 3 fish oil vitamins and literally after 30 minutes of taking it I would ask myself if I took my vitamins today or not, cause I DON'T remember it.
Either I'm getting old or going crazy. The latter fits me the most if you ask me
This happens all the time, and it gets me pretty freaked out.

My theory is that its caused by mobile phone usage. Do you use one?

I know a lot of people with the same complaint, me included, and we all use mobile phones.

I was waiting for this, everyone seems to point the fingers at these vaccines and people are refusing to give them to their children. Sure you cant force it upon them, but i want to ask (its slightly off topic) a question (i ask this a lot in anti-vaccine discussions).

What if a child is infected (natually) with smallpox (805 Mortality rate). Who is to blame (if anyone)?

Mental, of course. You are losing part of your memory, not parts of your body...

I love playing chess (level 5 on a windows game), I have a book full of enigma, one of my friends learned greek so I try to follow him, and I still self-teach physics ( I just love it). My mind is getting pretty great, and I'm only twenty-six. Imagine when I'll be 40...

The World Health Organisation.
If the entire US were to be vaccinated we could expect to see 330,000 deaths caised by vaccine complications.
Should we sacrifice that many people (every year) so you can feel good about having your shots?

Electric gear in or around the sleeping area might be the one thing most of the people I know have in common. It's not too much of a stretch to say that many of them don't get enough sleep either.

I use my cell phone as my alarm clock and although I can't say that for everybody else I know, I can think of probably four of them that I know for sure do the same. Thanks for the comment! It gives me something to experiment with. I'll see if my memory improves in the absence of these.

It's interesting that you mention this, as it seems to be a relatively common question/comment & somewhat of a running joke with many people I know & encounter (self included). I have friends that are much more research oriented & they can never seem to remember to investigate this further…

For the most part, it’s because we've all become pretty content with the anecdotal hypothesis that we live in a world in which, relatively speaking, at any given moment we have access to virtually any information that we desire. This creates a type of cognitive efficiency (or lassitude), which predisposes us to seeking novel information and quickly moving-on to the next thing while failing to encode many things that we used to have to remember. It also lessens our tendency to remember; it’s like we're cognitively out of shape.

Pre-computing formal education corroborates this--I'm sure we all know (& remember) when we were taught that things are best committed to memory by reading, writing, and saying the information in which we wished to retain. I certainly remember reading ad nauseam, having big discussions/forming ideas, & taking all kinds of notes over things that, today, I can access instantaneously.

It's just a thought & I'm still an avid reader, but really don't remember anything that I don't discuss, handwrite, or perceive as particularly novel; it appears as though many of us have merely succumbed to information porn!

I like the other posters' suggestions much better--stars for all!!!

Omg,you have described me too, I'm 34, and have recently noticed most prominently my spelling ability has dramatically reduced, I'm having to google words before I type, most noticibly whether its "L" or double "L" in words. I have become increasingly frustrated, and a little scared, because I thought I was getting early dementia or something.

I have had a little improvement in the last week and a half however, purely coincidental, I have problems with my writing hand, and have had to start navigating the computer, and writing with my left hand, its not great, but has helped a little, where before I spelt words, and couldn't trust he spelling, I'm finding my spelling is a little more accurate when I go to verify the spelling on google, its not much but little steps

I have been diagnosed with fibro and at first I blamed all of it on "fibro fog." That's why I hadn't considered that it was happening to others and the reason it shocked me that so many others are having the same issues. I know not everybody I know has fibro. I think it's safe to say that almost all of them were inoculated though. That's something I hadn't that about and a very good point. It might the one thing that we all have in common.
