In short - make them sheeple.
Mission accomplished...

I just "friended" you Sweden. From 7,000 miles away, you're being tracked.

Anyway, which is it going to be?

My point is this.....you can't lead someone somewhere that they don't want to go to in the first place. Maybe they WANT to be sheeple. Some people are born leaders, some followers. Even the followers know this. Just because they're passive that doesn't make them stupid.

That was a good rant BTW. Let it out. PM me if you have more to say. My deductive skills are top notch.

I used the words war, terrorists, corporations, ,capitalism, communism, radiation and Facebook in the same post. I'd be surprised if there aren't anyone else besides you tracking me right now

From the newspaper that started all this this noise. It's translated from German so it's a rough read. It does appear to be a reputable paper. Any Europeans out there know of this news source?

Der Tagesspiegel

They don't seem to side one way or the other. Just quoting people from both sides of the issue

From the comments section.

"We advise the world for 20 years, wealthy families in the investment field
advice number 1 is to remain as anonymous as humanly possible: no records in the Telefonbuechern, no own web pages, not Facebook.
the data, the dishonest people gather together and used for criminal purposes can make a direct threat for the individual dar.
really acting as people have no interest in her life to share with the public."
Peter Scholla
North Palm Beach, Florida

Makes sense to me.

It sucks because I did not opt in for the new timeline thing on Facebook yet It seems to have been auto accepted for me. How long until we are auto accepted for this new software. Seems like a major invasion of privacy.

I can offer a little expertise on the facial recognition aspect. Facial recognition software is not reliable for 100% matching. Not even close. I am currently employed in a "big brother" industry. Casino Surveillance. It can offer a bunch of possible matches, over a certain percentage of measurement points. Then a human being still has to be used to observe the results.

It can be helpful, but enrollment of an individual requires multiple angles, multiple lighting scenarios. Especially where any degree of accuracy is needed. Certainly, facebook can provide these photos. BUT... Currently, software can not even determine the differences similar skin colored races. So there is time...

Casino software may not equate to "government" software, in a conspiracy theorists mind, but a lot of times government agencies use casinos' tech for help.

It's already a sorry state of affairs when people are willing to hand over any and all personal information with a smile and without a thought, but this was the part that really got me:

Users must sign up to take part and 'teach' system what they look like

I wonder if they're gonna make a little Facebook game where the user can help 'Billy the Eye-guy in the Sky' to recognize you clearer by having you thoroughly scan over multiple photos of yourself. Reach a high enough score, and you can get 5% off a bag of Dorritos at the first place your "facially recognized".

"Oh man, better not forget to clearly map out that tiny beauty-mark at the corner of my right eye! It's a tricky one!"

Pathetic...

Thought I would contribute to this thread by adding this video from News2 WKRN.
Facedeals

This might throw a better insight into the new face recognition software that will be everywhere soon I am sure.

This is only the beginning and to those that think it is ok to share your information giving that worn out line of "if you don't do anything wrong then whats the problem"?, well, the problem will be you crying out when they tell you it is required to buy from that store or pay your bill, ect.

Welcome to the future as it's only just begun.

Google has had this tech. for awhile, it was going to be released as an app. Any stranger on the street could take a pic with his phone and then run it through the software app and i.d. you based on (I would guess) what other information can be found on you via the web.

Last I read, Google retracted the release, due to "privacy concerns" but doesn't mean it isn't developed and ready to go...

That's why i do not upload my photos to facebook, nor allow my wife to. People put photos of their kids on there and the pedos can goggle at them all day.

Im actually deleting, Yes deleting my account this week.
I have 600 and something friends on there. And will send them my email address and ask for theirs in return, in case they want to keep in touch. If they don't, I will know who ny true friends are anyway.

Im going back to the old school msm/yahoo messenger & SKYPE. It's MUCH less intrusive.

Don't like facebook don't use it. complaining about features you have to opt into is silly.

Despite the article acknowledging the fact that Internet-related sex crimes against children are on the decrease, the story cites a barrage of cases where children have been groomed online before revealing that Facebook “users could be unnerved about the extent to which their conversations are reviewed, at least by computer programs.”

Stop and think for a second. That's just facebook. The NSA has direct access to the telephone system the internet runs on, why bother with 1 site when they have access to ALL traffic.

Take a break from infowars, it will do you good

Do I need to say anything else? Facebook is Big Brother, plain and simple. If you do not delete your account now, then prepare for the next phase of the New World Order's hellish plan: microchipping everyone and linking it all in with Facebook, Face recognition and a global spy-satellite GPS network. Sounds crazy? It is, but it is real.

Facebook only has access to what you give it, nothing more. Besides, I bet in 5 years time, people will scratch their heads when you say facebook.

Remember myspace? Exactly.

just like you can opt out of timeline right?

everything online can be tapped into, cell phone mics can be turned on, even if your phone is turned off, and used to listen in on conversations. Big Brother spying on us isn't anything new, too many people are lazy and comfortable with the life they are forced to have.

You sounded intelligent until this line haha.

Also, I don't think facebook is going the way of myspace. Myspace got overtaken because it didn't use real names, and was like a website for the person to customise the way they want, but didn't really provide much else besides basic contact between friends. Also people just added randoms they didn't know and it got out of hand quick, that doesn't happen on FB. facebook is uniform, gives little option to make unique profiles, and almost every business has jumped on board, as well as thousands of games & applications being tied into the site, most of them needing a fb profile to just play or use a program. They have basically made it so that you cant use 50% of the stuff on the internet without linking your facebook profile to it. Its bullsh#, but that is the way its going.

Eh.

Go to your temp folder in your user account, and look at all the stored data your computer keeps on you RIGHT NOW.

Facebook is hardly the first.

FWIW, they already have enough facial data from your state issued ID (ie Drivers License photo) to plug into any Facial Recognition (FR) algorithm to identify you,
