This popped up on Reddit - the source comes from a Chile news site;

The only descriptions I could read were the dog saved it's puppies from a burning home, carried each one out to the fire truck, and curled up with them. Sadly, one puppy had been burned too badly and did not survive. The others were all doing well, for the circumstances.

If this isn't your aww of the day...

This is no doubt my 'aww' of the day.
I have read quite a few stories lately on the courage and loyalty of dogs saving their owners, or complete strangers, and in this case, their own puppies! This is the sweetest thing to read and see pictures of! Makes me want to cuddle up with my dog right now and just thank him for being there.. Oh I think I will.
Thanks for sharing! S & F!

Awww..... That is touching. Who can ever debate there is intelligence in that right there. Intelligence and compassion..and love. What a scene. Thanks for sharing this.

Thats lovely. Coupled with the earlier image of a very old dog falling asleep in water, held by its owner. Just the kind of smile i need this time of the morning.

Star for you..

Someone posted a link on the reddit page to the HuffPo article on this;

LOOK: Dog Carries Puppies To Safety From Burning House

So, if you want to read an English version of this...

Ah man, that is poignant.

Makes me seriously wonder if more animals are deserving of heaven than people.

I can't help but think the animals have more than a few things to re-teach us about our humanity. I've gotta show this around tomorrow. I know many others who will be touched by the story.

Now this is the kinda of news or photo that brings that small tear to the corner of my eye making sure that noone else see it so as my man hood will not be questioned. But we all know deep down when we read or see stories like this from behind our computer screen's we all say...sheet now that's f**king insane..!

Once again I am not surprised for two reasons.
First it was a dog doing the selfless act.
Second it was a Mommy doing the selfless act.
It never surprises me when either category does something wonderful and selfless, but pair up the two and I'd expect it.
Now if you'll scuse me, I'ma go hug my doggies.

To be fair humans do this too, that's what the firemen are there for.

Of course...and the smart dog knew that too! I imagine it's why that one spot from all the area on the street was where Momma took her injured pups. The intelligence it shows is as notable to me as the sheer heart wrenching tragedy of what brought it about. Oh I wish I could just hug her...she must be so torn up in those pictures.

There ya go OP.. Ya got the big evil bunny to shed a tear.. Thanks again for the share. This is among the more memorable threads here, in my mind.
