80 yr Old Woman Fights off Robbers with Mangoes and Apples

Well, I guess the folks out there that are against citizens having the right to protect themselves with guns might just be right! But what happens when there's no fruit at hand?

What is it about older people and fruit assault?

And how can we forget the almighty HANDBAG! But what if she was only carrying a change purse?


These little old ladies were lucky and I believe it had to do more with the robbers being shocked than scared. If they were not surprised so much and locked on granny it would have been altogether different.

But if granny pulled out the Glock from her girdle?

Shock Factor way up!

How many innocent bystanders did she put in danger by trying to be a hero?

I know from experience that my grandmother could be rather skilled at throwing things when as a child I would unravel her yarn balls all over her living room like a cat on speed while she screamed at me and unleashed the terror of her flying shoes

Seriously good thing she didn't have an artichoke handy - blood would be flowing...on a more serious note, of course you can get arrested for assault for throwing apples at people - should I post the examples?

I like your line in regard to the previous poster - perhaps grannies should be outlawed in general...not really but considering the bs we deal with today...I'm shocked people with gumption aren't immediately arrested!

Good for them! More people need to be more secure! for real. I give those people mad props, most people I know would just give the items to the burglar than call 911. I say, you invade my bubble, you're facing the consequences. But that's me.

Just a comment regarding the causual statement regadring the perps...shall I post a different ethnicity in the multitudes of stick up vids...shocking that many are white...I will say regardless of ethnicity the veracity of apples is common...
