I am “John Titor” and I hoaxed it.

My name is John Tressman I am a 22-year-old assistant professor at the University of Florida in Tampa. This is my confession. When I was an 18-year-old college freshman at this same institution, I thought it would have been fun to see how far I could have taken this story. I am concerned about future events from my point of view. I just wanted to try to wake up some people; at the same time have some fun. I do not believe my prior conduct to have been criminal in the least, I am not worried of criminal charges. It was a just fun to the American Idiot. My objective was not to get everyone to believe me, however it was to see if I could fool some people, which I believe I surely have had.

You damn fools. Prank over.

Sit there and think about this last statement for literally 120 seconds before continuing.

Okay I totally made that all up in the last five minutes. If I had got deeper into the subject, I could have made that all so more believable. However I have a simple point to make. If someone really did stand up and claim to be John Titor and stated the previous forum postings were a hoax. How could that person prove HE (or even she) WAS “John Titor” and not someone just making it up as I just did? All the evidence there of his hoax is openly avaible to that person. How could we ever know this was hoax? How could we know that it wasn’t just a hoax, that his claims of the previous events really were a hoax?

Who believes as I do this story could have a reasonable possibility of being true? We got less than three weeks to go, let's see what happens.

Simple. Take a photograph of yourself in front of a nationally-recognized monument with the suitcase "time machine" opened and in your arms, with a piece of paper saying "ATS" (and the date) written on it.

No hoax has been perpetrated by me. Why have others perpetrated hoaxes?

He did say he was from a diffrent time line. But with only a 2% divergence. He said there was going to be civil unrest right before the election. Theres been over 10 atacks on republican headquarters already.

Anyone can claim to be JT or AB, but it would down to them to prove it in some way.

As far as the public are concerned, Time travel does not exist, but I have read numerous conspiracies which claim it does, and that the "Above US Government" already have this ability. It's down to yourself to decide how feasible it is.

JT made fantastic claims of which he had an answer for every question he was asked, which made his story all the more perplexing.

Personally, I put the JT Conspiracy down to a talented screenwriter who was testing the believability of his story.

Having said that, I retain an open mind to possibilities yet to be understood.
