My prediction for the Olympics

USA is going to win lots of gold medals.

But besides that, the media is going to focus so much on the Olympics that there will be other things happening around the world that don't get any media coverage.

It will serve as a media blackout if you will.

Oh but I forgot to add the conspiracy angle.

So this year its Olympics XXX and it's going to be held in London.

Also while the opening ceremony kicks off, our commander and chief in the US who is not eligible for President by the way, will be committing treason.

I hope you're right (about nothing else happening - I could care less about the medals).

I think it is a tad bit creepy how heavily it is being promoted though. Even Google changed their logo to promote it.

Oh I never said nothing would happen though.

Things will happen. Just maybe not in London, but maybe they will, who knows?

He probably still thinks Obama wasnt born in America, lol.

We will have to keep an eye out for how many Executive Orders Obama decides to sign while the Games are in progress... no pun intended.

I do agree though that some big stuff will probably be missed by most of the population because of the Olympics coverage. I dread it as I do not even like to watch them. But the news will be mostly about that and nothing more if the status quo holds true.

There are three things I will be paying attention too.

Two happen tomorrow and the rest will be ongoing.

Those two are the Opening Ceremony and the UN Small Arms Treaty.

The ongoing one is the situation in Syria.

right now it is the witching hour and I seem to be focusing on keeping myself awake. just so i can eye the opening tomorrow. though i'm dreadfully tired, i might not wake up in time.

But I do think you right about the media. Plus think of all the revenue n b c is gonna own from it, have no answer for that, but..

Depending on where you are. I heard they start in London at 9 pm but won't be aired until 630 cst so I will set that one to the dvr. But why wouldn't NBC play the opening ceremony live? Thats a bummer.

sorry thats not what i meant with nbc. or are they not? i mean their the news/channel outlet that owns the rights to the olympics at least in US, that i mean by revenue.

I just thought that the ceremony started at 9 in London which is like 5 or six hours different. So unless they are not starting at 9 then...

They did not want to air the opening ceremony when everyone was at work. If it aired live 3pm CST and 1PM PST. Everyone is still at work. They want to air it when they will get the greatest audience.
