Nope. The brains reactions are not thoughts. Many people can't disassociate the material brains reactions from the self. Say you have someone abused. The material brain will react to this abuse in all sorts of dark ways. Most people associate those reactions with who they are. They would associate those reactions with self.

This is where the problem starts. Today, most people associate the reactions of the material brain with who they are.

People will say they hear voices or they will have crazy thoughts in their head. A lot of times this is the material brains reactions but most people identify these reaction with actual thoughts.

Science and materialism identifies the sum of who you are with the material brain. If they recognized the higher dimensional self that that transcends space-time, then people would be able to deal with some of these reactions from the material brain.

You claim what you are saying has nothing to do with spirituality... so I am very confused then about what you refer to?
"The higher-dimensional self that transcends space-time" is not "spiritual"?
