The most powerful airforce???

What is the most powerul airforce? I'd have to go with the USAF. The USAF has great power from planes like F-117, F-22, F-15, F-18, F-111, and B-2.

1. United States of America
2. India/Russia/China/Israel
3. all others...

Best? Just my personal choices.

No doubt USAF and USN from a budgetary,quantative and technological aspect.

IDAF just on experience
IndAF on size and expereince
RAF on professionalism, traditon and experience
RAAF for doing it on a shoestring and being sole operator of the F-111 (Hey its my home team, I have to give them something)

Ever wonder about when the USA found out the USSR was about to go "poof". I sometimes think given the world today we would have been better off if they just slipped the USSR US$30 billion a year on the QT so we could have a boogyman that scared the world into staying in line without actually needing the rest of us to flex our muscles.

And hey, if the mighty soviet bear was still about some of these R&D projects would either be in service or outlived by the likes of F-15!

3) IDAF - Perhaps the best trained pilots in the world backed by US money/equipment
4) RAF - Got to back our biggest ally
5) IAF - Advanced Russian planes, decent size, on the upswing
6) China - sheer size

I don't see don'y in the dictionary either.

It's impossible, and just stupid to compare air forces...

For one: it's pretty easy to figure out if you look at who's finances are more military centered than the other guys

Secondly: Why would you compare air forces... are you planning an ATS vs. the World battle?

The USAF does not quite have the best air force in all categories... also then again... everyone has an ace up their sleeve.
