It was only a matter of time before 9/11 would be taught to school children in America.

www.state.nj.us...

Here are a few excerpts from what children in New Jersey will have to look forward to from this curriculum-

Students will be able to understand the chain of events which led to the formation of al- Qaeda and bin Laden’s role in terror attacks.

September 11 was not a random or isolated attack on America, bin Laden and al-Qaeda had been growing in strength since the late 1980’s. Their opposition to the United States was defined through multiple terror attacks prior to the attacks on September 11. A timeline will assist students in understanding these events and the history of bin Laden and al Qaeda prior to 9/11.

Given the materials given to teachers, children are set for some biased history lessons!

Case Study 1 – The Airport

After 9/11, U.S. security authorities adopted a series of measures at airports. These included body searches and interrogations. In addition, certain background information (passports from certain countries, last minute reservations) was also used to decide who should be searched and questioned. It was suggested by some that people were being selected by race, religion or nationality. This action could be considered profiling.
Some suggestions to alleviate this issue are:

1. Search everyone.
2. Search randomly.
3. Use profiling to determine who should be searched.
4. Do not search anyone.
5. Other?

Case Study 3 – The Class Trip

You are on an overnight class trip. Someone informs the teacher chaperones that a group has been partying with alcohol. What should be done?

1. Cancel the rest of the trip and take all the students home.
2. Send home the students who are suspected of using the alcohol.
3. All the students should be questioned and subsequent actions should be taken as needed.
4. Nothing, after all, it was just a rumor.
5. Other?

This is manipulation to justify option 3, which is profiling. With the latter question, the children are left with the only option that makes sense to be answer 3. It would be unfair to send everyone home, it would be unfair to send home students who are only 'suspected, answer 3 makes sense because people aren't being sent home and action is only taken if needed! Answers 4 is obviously not an option, it is a deliberate technique used to influence children's beliefs.

Policy paper: After compiling the factors that potentially can create a terrorist, students will devise policies on how to deal with this growing problem. What can be done by the United States/International community to help stop the pool of candidates for possible terrorism? Students will write a one- page typed policy paper wherein they outline the underlying psychological issues behind the allure of terrorism and their proposals for dealing with this issue.

Final Evaluation:

What can be done by the United States/International community to help stop the pool of candidates for possible terrorism? Everyone in class will be expected to participate in a class discussion presenting and evaluating each other’s policies.

Write a one- page typed policy paper where you outline the underlying psychological issues behind the allure of terrorism and then propose a policy that the United States could follow that would stop or hinder people from being interested in joining terroristic organizations.

When New Jersey kids get to high school, more indoctrination will follow on 'what a Terrorist looks like'-

Background for Subject of Lesson (when needed):

Teacher could prepare photographs/descriptions of terrorists accessed from newspapers or the Internet---especially those that do not fit the “stereotype.”
• Timothy McVeigh
• Those who shoot and bomb abortion clinics
• Video clips of female and children suicide bombers

It doesn't take a genius to see what the agenda is here- everyone can be a terrorist, from women to children. Everyone is a suspect, and children are being taught this is the way to view the world!

It also goes on to use the 1996 olympics as a case study-

Rudolph’s justification was political; in his statement he said:
“In the summer of 1996, the world converged upon Atlanta for the Olympic Games.
Under the protection and auspices of the regime in Washington millions of people came to celebrate the ideals of global socialism. Multinational corporations spent billions of dollars, and Washington organized an army of security to protect these best of all games."

In a statement at his sentencing, Rudolph apologized to the victims and families only of the Centennial Park bombing. He repeated that he was angry with the American government and hoped the Olympics would be cancelled.

Associating people who speak out about the government as potential terrorists. This is worrying when a section of the curriculum talkes of chemical weapons-

Lesson HIII-8: Sarin Nerve Agent Attacks: The Danger of Chemical Weapons of Mass Destruction
Objective:

Students will examine the sarin nerve gas attack in Japan as an example of the dangers associated with chemical weapons of mass destruction (WMDs).

It is estimated that sarin is more than 500 times more toxic than cyanide. The short-and long-term symptoms experienced by those affected include:

1. coma 10. loss of consciousness
2. convulsions 11. loss of memory
3. death 12. nausea and vomiting
4. difficulty breathing 13. paralysis
5. disturbed sleep and nightmares 14. post-traumatic stress disorder
6. extreme sensitivity to light 15. respiratory problems
7. foaming at the mouth 16. seizures
8. high fevers 17. uncontrollable trembling
9. influenza-like symptoms 18. vision problems, temporary & permanent

Should kids be made to live their lives in this kind of fear? Or is it more propaganda to push them into seeing everyone as a 'potential terrorist'?

The new Bush Administration was barely nine months in office when the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon took place. Al Qaeda (Islamic for “the Base”), a terrorist organization led by Osama bin Laden, took responsibility for the attacks. Shocked and angry, President Bush, with the support of Congress, declared a ‘War on Terror’.

The U.S. policy would come to be known as the Bush Doctrine and can be summarized as follows:
1. The right to secure itself from countries that harbor or give aid to terrorist groups;

2. Preventive war, which held that the United States could depose foreign regimes that represented a potential or perceived threat to the security of the United States;

3. Spreading democracy around the world as a strategy for combating terrorism; and

4. A willingness to use the U.S. military unilaterally to achieve these goals.

Some of these policies would be codified in a National Security Council text entitled the National Security Strategy of the United States published on September 20, 2002.

The PDF is there people, read it for yourself. It is indoctrination and hard to deny being so. It promotes the idea of America being under constant threat of terrorism, that the way to combat terrorism is to promote 'democracy' through the world, to accept a growing surveilance system, to give up rights for National Security, that anyone can potentially be a terrorist, how to spot them etc. Scary stuff.

"See children, there is a perfect reasonable explication why all those rights we taught you about in US history had to go away"

the level of expectation of the protection of the 4th amendment has been ruled to be Societal expectation of privacy.

So with this I guess my kids will be getting full cavity searches to do just about anything in America.

Thats the agenda here, lower the societal expectation of privacy for search and seizure so that the courts will uphold the new standards.

required reading to brainwash a whole new generation into believeing the government is something you can trust, that it wouldn't instigate false flag terrorism against their own people.
That jihadis across the world are waiting to take your freedoms away, that the patriot act is patriotic, that the self supporting deluge of propaganda designed to uphold the Official Conspiracy theory, is a self sustaining circle jerk of truth upon truth with not one lie in it anywhere, *promise* it is the TRUTH, *cough*..
It should be an offence to lie to children in such an egregious fashion, remember, they are our kids, keep them informed, educate them yourselves, the state only wants your child in school, under their control for 40 hours a week to indoctrinate and poison them.
There are facets of the OCT that don't hold up, that require greater explanation, just one of those being proven it is a lie, calls everything else into question.
Teaching it as Truth to children, is plain wrong.

This makes me want to vomit. I was a history teacher for one year and I quit once I saw the dumbed-down curriculum.

This sort of brainwashing is made possible by everybody being "OK" with the schools teaching that Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy and that the "Founding Fathers" were all religious nuts who agreed 100% with one another.

Welcome to hell, people. Once these kids start voting there will not ever, ever, be any turning back.

When the adults have failed at addressing the cause of 9/11 what chance have the kids got? As a generation grows up in a foundation of lies what chance has the nation got?

It is easy to see where this is going by further slashing individual rights and privacy and back to your standard slave nation under totalitarian rule. Combined with the progression of technology there will be a strict sense or order as self determination is gradually chipped away. Considering how the situation has been playing out, it is sad but not surprising.

Very good points.

I found the whole thing chilling. Children in the US will be fed these lies as truth and there is no outrcy against it! Combined with the agenda of promoting the increasing surveillance state, justifying the loss of civil rights in the name of national security and pushing the idea that everyone can potentially be a terrorist, it just paints a horrible picture of the future.

I'm 28 and this kind of # wasn't in my school just over 10 years ago. We were certainly only given 'one side of the story' in history lessons but my school didn't set out to make me paranoid of everyone around me, that terrorists could be anywhere about to strike with nerve gas, it really is madness. Although i'm sure the people behind it know full well what they are doing

From what I skimmed over, the lesson plans for the primary and intermediate grades were flimsy at best. What is the point of teaching young children about 9/11 if you are going to use thoughts about feelings toward something that happened when some were just born? Wouldn't it be better to leave the subject until at least the 7th or the eighth grade when students are a little more developed?
The high school curriculum was a little better. I saw mostly group led instruction where students could discuss the topics of terrorism and national security. However, they should have included a unit on how the United States has involved itself in promoting its own state sponsored terrorism, but unfortunately that wont happen.
The entire elementary curriculum should be scrapped, there are better ways and places to discuss feelings of fear, pain, and sadness other than in the context of the classroom and 9/11. . . perhaps at home, with parents. . . not at school, as it should be?
The middle school and high school curriculum should be implemented into a history unit, but should be about terrorism; its causes, and national security. . . not just about 9/11 and what happened after. I mean what is more important for the students to learn? The many causes behind terrorism and the discussion over the rights of others in response to such actions or just the facts that so and so happened on this day or that day and thats all they should learn?
