The lizard is a Mwanza Flat Headed Agama and it is native to Africa and this one was seen in the Masia Mara National park near Rongai river

'This is the only animal I have ever seen with colouring so unbelievably similar. It's especially like Spiderman in the chest, arms and legs.

Striking picture

Spider-man is a reptilian.
Spiderman is a Jewish name, like Goldman, Feldman, Newman, etc...

Most of our favorite super heroes are Jewish...

Batman
Superman
Aquaman
Duckman
Ironman
Hawkman
Megaman
and Pacman

I think Stan Lee was trying to tell us all something.

this is so cool, The amazing colors of nature still amaze me after all these years. I didn't even know something like this existed...together with the vegetarian piranha I saw on ATS today, I've learned a lot today.

that image could convince believers with a inclination to see a 'spiderman' figure in the color pattern

...but, the franchise burger Outlet...'Burger King" is giving a free something (meat concoction sandwich) to everyone that shows up in a 'Spiderman' disguise on July 4th.... i think the promotion is Nation-Wide

wonder if a kids spidey outfit would work for a free $3 dollar processed-red-meat thingy?

if so i might even eat the dang thing for a kick

btw... the proper word is Striking...not 'stricking'

see:

striking - definition of striking...
strik·ing (str k ng). adj
Arresting the attention and producing a vivid impression on the sight or the mind.
.
www.thefreedictionary.com/striking.

That sound like the start of a good conspiracy thread
" Stan Lee , Illuminati, and 2012, The hidden meanings!"

That looks too cool

The lizard's stance even has the attitude of spider-man.

Very interesting coincidence. However, this may just be another case of the human brain interpreting an image to the closest possible image saved ie. Spiderman.

forget about spiderman, and say hello to lizzard spider man. This proves once again that nature is a 1000 times more intriguing and interesting than science fiction and all that hollywood BS.

Wow! I can't believe I have never seen this guy before having been an iguana owner in the past.

I found this little snippet online which I thought was very relevant to this thread -

...their similarity to Spider Man does not end with their coloring. They can run on only their hind legs when necessary and can, if the situation calls for it, scale walls that to our eyes are effectively vertical.

Thanks so much for bringing this to ATS!

Only because we, as a society, say it looks like Spiderman. Did it bear a scar on its torso we would perhaps say it looked like a certain Transformer.

Well that's thinking outside the box
But a lizard that looks like a Transformer bit to fleshy for that and a Transformer is metal
