The 5-4 decision upholding Obamacare has a side effect: It makes that 3.8% surtax on investment income definitive.

Rush Limbaugh says: "we, the American people, have just been deceived in ways that nobody contemplated. And what we now have is the biggest tax increase in the history of the world."

Is he right?

Wow it's so bad that you have to pay for other people who are sick and can't afford medical treatment.

Look how much it will cost then have a look at your military budget....

Look, I have no problem directly helping people. But to pretend like shoving money into a money pit's really doing much of anything is insane.

I think the middle class will need middle class jobs to pay this new middle class tax - or they will more than likely be pissing in the wind. payroll tax - health care tax - how about Hell No - call me when you want to pay me instead of the Government - is how I see this thing happening - but you know they said the same thing when social security tax was taken out and we all know how successful that was -

Please allow me to summarize your point: the illuminists are destroying America on multiple fronts.

It is ingrained in USA'ers that anything socialist is bad, I admit I do not know the in's and outs of Obamacare but it shouldn't matter if it costs the middle class a little bit more tax to help people who can not get medical treatment.
If you heal the sick who can not work better enough to work it can only be good for everyone.
We have the NHS in the UK and we all pay for it, heck it is nearly 70 years old and it is still not being run correctly.
I hope you can sort out Obamacare to be cost effective for all.
Love BM xxx

You are aware they are intending to subdue the sovereignty of the US? To do that they have to lessen our capabilities and over deploy our forces so they can be beaten,Then it will be the civilians turn, after they figure out how to disarm us.
If you think I'm paranoid you haven't become paranoid enough.
Buy a rifle they hate that.

Divide the 2.6 trillion by 10 and you get 260 billion, it is still smaller per year than your military budget.

It will cost the average person about 690 bucks a year.
You pay more than that now for all your insurance etc.

Nope there's still $17 Trillion more that you have to account for. Also, not to mention the 3% tax on all Americans, which Obama promised he would never do to the middle class....

Sorry fella it just screams "screw you Jack Iam doing fine "to me.
Can you put a $$$ on the health of a nation? it shouldn't matter if you have to pay a little more, if it helps people get better and back into work your country will do better.

Wow...very very poor math skills going on in this thread.

Your numbers aren't even sourced...and they are still smaller than the military budget.

Is this a Hoax...I think it's a Hoax.

Your 17 Trillion has no defined source...just mystery money that the Daily Caller claimed they found.

And you have to define "long term"...if "long term" is 500 years...then that isn't all that much.

So...please define "long term" so we can do a correct calculation.

Even Rush Limbaugh himself is not as big as the military budget.
His Oxy stash might be, but not him.

factcheck.org...

Just read more about it and it looks fair to me.

This quote would sell it for me

Chief Justice John Roberts: [F]or most Americans the amount due will be far less than the price of insurance, and, by statute, it can never be more.

So yes it will be cheaper than what you pay for now.

Can you put a $$$ on the health of a nation? it shouldn't matter if you have to pay a little more, if it helps people get better and back into work your country will do better.

Conversely, teh opposite attitude (of "I want someone else to take care of me") also seems to be very prevalent.
