Do you think she has posted her OP text and photo while drinking?

No, that is not me in the OP photo.
My personal photos and videos are far more vivid and pornographic. I am fortunately completely aware of the tantalizing abuse I endure in each.

*blush*

Deep inside you know you have a problem that will one day become cronic. You are here looking for validation and acceptance because you know that, eventually, your once a month mini-bender will go a little longer. Your 5th will become 100 proof instead of 80 then you'll need a pint to finish it off and so on.
No I will not give you acceptance or validation.
I am a alcoholc. sober for 3 1/2 years and know the truth about you and myself.
Stop altogether or face readdiction.

Good luck with your choice. I hope you find peace and become sober. It's a great life!

Finally, a level headed response!
I agree and was needing a lashing. You are far to lenient. I agree with all you say but, at this point, have a hard time letting it go completely. I see and am around those still drinking and KNOW I can control it (I am tough like that).

I like drunken messy sex no holds barred.. These are the things I do not want to give up.
I do not drink but once a damn month, and I make sure to let my BF know what is coming. He buys the bottle!
How great is that? LOL

Is there such a thing as an Ex Alcoholic that remained an EX drinker? That actually was or became a responsible drinker for sexual or social events? I only like getting drunk for naughty stuff now a days.. I'll spare those details... LOL

Yes. She stated that on the 25th she gets paid and then drinks for the next three days.

I'm an Alcoholic and I've been sober for 4 years thanks to AA . During my years of drinking they were times when I was able to control my drinking just like the OP mentioned , I would limit my consumption to a few times a month or I would only drink wine . Eventually my addiction always got the best of me , I would start lying about how much I drank or started hiding liquor around the house so my family didn't know how much I was drinking !

10 years ago, my mom was drinking a 2-4 a night and taking god knows how many pills. When she went through rehab, she dropped to 85 lbs (She's 5'6...) and almost died from the withdrawls.

This month, she celebrated her 10th year of sobriety. Crazy, right?! I know I could NEVER go that long without a beer!

In my mind, you're only an alcoholic if once you take a sip, you can't stop drinking until it's gone/you pass out. That was my mom's problem. She only stopped drinking when she ran out of money. If you can control your drinking, which means not getting s*itfaced every time, then I don't think you have a problem.

Basically, it's about learning the difference between drinking to get drunk vs having a drink. I just thought you (the OP) might find it inspiring that someone who was severely addicted has now spent 10 years of her life sober. It CAN be done!

ETA: To all those who have multiple years of sobriety under their belts, congrats!

Well, Gremlins are known to be mischievous. Not so certain about their drinking habits, but whether sober or intoxicated they are a handful.

At any rate my personal philsophy goes as such: Everything in moderation ... when possible.
