Yeshua is Hebrew for "LORD" (all capitals).

And it actually appears in previous to that in Sumerian "religious/historical" cuneiform, so really it's Sumerian.

Yeshua is JESUS true Name in Aramaic

BUDHA IS BUDHA, MUHAMED IS MUHAMED.

The TRUE reason that they changed JESUS name is because they hate him.
JESUS is Satan to the EYES OF THE VATICAN
Satan in Hebrew means OPPONENT, Yeshua was the opponent to the leaders
that Crucified him.

John 14.14, " if you do anything in my name I will do it" = YESHUA
john 16.26, " When the day comes you will ask him in my name" = YESHUA
ACTS 4.16 -" it was the power of his name that gave strength to this man" =YESHUA

ACTS 4.16 "Everyone in Jerusalem knows that this extraodinary miracle has been
performedby them (Peter,John), and we cannot denny it. But to keep this matter
from spreading any further among the people, LET US WARN THESE MEN
NEVER AGAIN TO SPEAK TO ANYONE IN THE NAME OF YESHUA"

AND NOW THEY USE JESUS CHRIST WHICH HAS NOTHING
TO DO WITH YESHUA THE MESSIAH.

Every Christian should be baptised again in the name of YESHUA, not the Father, Son,
Holy Spirit or the name of JESUS.

PAUL- SAUL was a spy against JESUS, If 12 Apostles existed then its true they were all Murdered

666= xxx= +++= FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT = HOLY TRINITY= YESHUA

6 = the 6th day of the week, which is friday, the day YESHUA was crucified.

All names borrowed from other languages are liable to be changed somewhat to suit the tongues of the people who are borrowing them.
That's why English-speakers say "Moscow" instead of "Moskva", and French-speakers say "Londres" instead of "London".
The pronunciation "Jesus" (whether the opening letter is pronounced hard as in English or soft as in Spanish) is just one of those conveniences.
It doesn't matter. Jesus does not mind. It is the faith that is important, not the actual form of the sound coming out of the mouth.

Jesus does not care about the exact pronunciation.
The thought is what counts.

You are wrong... God takes His Name VERY seriously!

Well, you can refer to him as Yahveh, or Jesus or Yeshua or Yahoshua. Nowadays some christians might not know who he is, but he's the one who was with Moses on Mt. Sinai when he showed Moses his glory and his back.

The true 'God' has no name.

The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.

The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin
of all particular things.

Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.

Yet mystery and manifestations
arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.

Darkness within darkness.
The gateway to all understanding.

But humans love to argue over words (names, labels).
Non conceptual (no words placed upon reality) awareness is the only truth..

The Name Jesus used in the English language originates from the Latin form of the Greek name Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous)

What I don't understand is that people call him Jesus, while they should call him Yeshua, which is his Hebrew name, the name his disciples would've used and all the other people in that time.

Christians, why do alot of you call him Jesus and not Joshua (Which is directly translated from Hebrew the English) or Yeshua? Did you actually know about this? I have no harm against you, I'm just interested..

Hebrew was not spoken at the time of Christ.
Greek; Latin; and Aramaic were the lingua franca of the time.
Hebrew was only used liturgically by the Jewish Priestly Class.

Therefore, Jesus did not speak Hebrew.
Hebrew was a "dead language" for two millenia until the time of the Talmudic Zionist revival of the 19th century.

Yeshua, actually spelt Yeshas, is pronounced as Jeshas in Hebrew, or the very similar sounding Jesus in English.

Joshua, or correctly spelt Yeoshuas, is also pronounced as Jeshas in Hebrew, or the very similar sounding Jesus in English. Since the "o" and "u" would be silent.

The name of Jesus is a Hebrew name meaning Ehjeh saves.

Is it beyond the realm of possibility that the name, "(Y)esha(u)", could have been Nabatean or Aramaic in origin?

Jesus is used because that is tradition. I know the name is not his Hebrew name but that is how it is pronounced in Western countries so that is what we use. If one were to go to church this Sunday and suddenly the pastor was speaking of Yeshua, most people would be highly confused.

Aesir,

I think you mean Latin.

Trujew,

But, the Hebrew alphabet doesn't have a "J".

Hebrew does not have a written "j", but the written "y" has a "j" sound when it is followed by an "e".

It is the same with the letter "i" in Greek. Iesous is pronounced as Jesous, which is close to the Hebrew and English.

Incorrect. Jesus was originally a Hebrew name.

The Old Testament character who we normally think of as Joshua had a Hebrew name.
The OT was translated into Greek because most Jews in the Mediterranean sphere of civilization spoke Greek.
So Joshua's name got a Greek version, from which was derived a standardized version, which became a very common name among Jews of the late BC era.
That standard form is what you see in the New Testament.
Jesus did not have a "Hebrew" name.
He had a Jewish name, Jesus.

If I call Jesus Yeshua, Lord, King, Big Brother, does it really matter if my heart doesn't really mean it?

And,

It doesnt matter whether you call him Jesus or Yeshua. Also, Alexander the Great conquered that entire area, and there is a very good case made for them speaking Greek.
