What, you think that drone pilots don't have to train too? Yes, the Global Hawk is autonomous for the most part, but they still require training to operate, just like any other platform. And they CERTAINLY aren't going to train a new/inexperienced pilot in a war zone where there's a lot more going on. Training in the US means that they control just about everything from what they see through the sensors, to where the targets are located.

Assuming it's this model, $104 million just went boom. I hope it didn't land in a populated area. I think lawsuits against military accidents would be possible in the US?
