The OP absolutely knew that DHMO is water.

Please show us where the OP said that DHMO is not water in this thread?

Or where mine or the OP's statements were not true, even though convoluted.

It was the last sentence that got me:

As far as it being a "hoax", there was a campaign to ban DHMO in the past, that would be considered a hoax. But none of the things listed in this thread are really false, just a lot of wordplay.

Yup, but pure DHMO has a pH reading of 7, which means it's neutral already. It's all those nasty additives that destroy it's purity and make it dangerous

Kewl! I had to look up what that one was! Yes, combination with DHMO would make it easier to abosorb into the body and it mentioned a possible link to ADHD as well. It could cause some serious problems that they'll just end up treating with more chemicals in a never ending cycle

Which is why you could add other chemicals to it whether they be acidic or caustic...DHMO is the perfect scapegoat..Which is why I am not ruling out the OP's theory....You can make rain acidic or caustic
