Rubio was asked by moderator Richard Stengel, “You would sanction a strike before you would tolerate a nuclear Iran?”

“Yes and I think that we need to begin to prepare people for that,” the Florida Senator responded.

This is by no means the first time Rubio has publicly displayed his appetite to commit the United States to another unaffordable war.

During a Brookings Institution speech at the end of April, Rubio not only called for attacking Iran, but also advocated a military assault on Syria.

Speaking of Iran, Rubio stated, “We should also be preparing our allies, and the world, for the reality that unfortunately, if all else fails, preventing a nuclear Iran may, tragically, require a military solution.”

He also said that Syria should become a target for “American leadership,” in the context of ignoring UN mandates and sending in American troops to directly help rebel fighters who, as we have documented, are being directed by Al-Qaeda terrorists.

If we 'go hot' with Iran, I'm going to write my Congressman and ask why I should continue to pay my taxes when it is obvious that 'my' government is not being a good steward with my money by financing another 'no way out' war at a time when we have far too many other issues to worry about. Nothing short of a massive boycott on taxes combined with massive protests is going to get the attention of our representatives.

While I am not a fan of a nuclear Iran, they have every right to pursue that power as we did back in the '40's. Additionally, if they choose to abuse that power, the world has every right to knock them back into the stone age.

What's got my grey matter rolling through my little box is a combination of current events...

War with Iran has been building up for quite a while now.
Threats of war with Syria are growing due to the on going situation there...

Then we have the very possible collapse of the Euro...

So, possibly two wars going on and Europe at a standstill...

I can only wonder as to why the Euro is being ground into the dirt at a time such as this. Is europe going to be a battle field once again? Will Russia and China come sweeping down through Europe in defence of Iran/Syria?

Is the decline of jobs and the Euro preparing the path for mass recruitment into an allied force to oppose Russia and China?
As there may possibly be no jobs and no money (what with the fear of all power being cut in Greece too) the military may suddenly have two wars to fight and posters may go up asking for you to do your part if you're not employed in some other manner..

Is someone, somewhere, in full knowledge of the fact that many millions of people may very possibly be about to die.. ??

Economic callapse is ALWAYS followed by WAR. Euro goes, followed by USD and the whole world economy goes, leaving a bunch of nuclear powers with no money and a bunch of nukes waiting for each other to make the first move... Someone will make it for fear that other will first.

Europe will have no choice but to unite under NATO forces, as Russia and China will not wait around to be struck first, one thing Russia will not do is wait for the first nuke to come flying into Moscow. All it takes is one nuke to go off in either the US, China or Russia and all 3 countries have auto-responce sequences designed to annialate the other countries in this type of event (MAD).

But your estimate is far too low, in this day with the weaons and stakes as high as they are the death toll would be closer to 6 billion in the next year (from June 2012 to May 2013) or as a result of fallout.

People are thinking the war will collapse the economy, I am telling you it is the other way around, the first step to war is economic collaspe, but this war it will be a global economy undergoing a global collapse with a global nuclear weapons cache that can destroy all life on earth 40x over... it only takes ONCE.

I just had a scary 'eureka' moment.

It's well-known that Iran has threatened the US with massive terrorist attacks at home in the event of a strike on the Islamic republic.

Recent threads here on ATS have been discussing the deployment of a myriad of drone aircraft over the US homeland these past few weeks.

What better way for Americans to WILLINGLY give up their privacy/rights than a catastrophic terrorist attack perpetrated by Iran! You will end up killing three birds with one stone....

1) Iran. Whatever resistance to war with Iran there might be would vanish the moment the first bomb goes off in a school. Even soccer moms will be screaming for nothing less than the utter glassification of Ahmidenijahd and Co.
2) Those pesky US citizen rights to privacy. Security is paramount, and you'd see the sheeple go along with it just as they did the Patriot Act.
3) This would give Congress all the fuel they'd need to not only openly keep drones flying 24/7, but to 'expand' their search for terrorists to include anyone or anything that fits the bill.

This could very well be the flag. Israel gets what it wants... Iran destroyed, and the American people held in check so the US can served it's true purpose as the World Bully that Israel pimps.

If we go to war, if we don't try to stop this tooth and nail, the United States of America will irrevocably change for the worse.

So how do they plan on preparing people for a coming war with Iran?
Let me think onthis for a minute.
How could they go about this? Hmmmmm.....

I got a few suggestions.

1.Call Hallmark and have them increase production on condolence cards.
2.Provide more available family couciling for those whos loved ones are about to go off to war(again).
3.Inform cemetaries to begin mapping out more plots.
4.Begin selling more yellow ribbons to tie around trees.
5.Convience people to fly the chineese made American flag outside their houses.
6.Have the "MSM" do non-stop shows on how Iran is coming to get us,and they only way to stop them to invade them and remove the regime.
7.TRY to convience Americans why empire building can be a good thing.

Theres many more things I can invision them doing.
But You get the idea.

I'm so very sick and tired off wars.
So tired of watching my freinds and family being treated as tin soldiers,and fighting wars for corporations.

If many people though the cold war was of grave concerns
what about the relation with Russia now .. and China
the relation between those countries are boiling
wonder why China has been massing up and upgrading its army
it is to counter the mighty USA
but they know they will need Russia help for that
Iran is welcome to join in .. thats why they didnt retaliate or closed the SOH
after so many declaration of war made by the US with the sanctions
any country would have done something ..

I guess Russia and China told Iran to calm down
