The rich are getting richer, we're getting screwed and left holding the bag, government continues to take away our Constitutionally guaranteed rights and liberties, teh top dogs openly flaunt the laws and game the system for their personal gain. REAL capitalism died a very long time ago. We live in an age of corporate piracy and oportunism. Real capitalsim would not eat it's own young.

“Unfavorable” views of the Tea Party movement have jumped from 22% in February 2010 to 51% in March 2012, mostly at the expense of “don’t know” respondents.

The Americans for Prosperity Foundation (R-Koch), a faction of the Conservative group founded by the Koch brothers, is spending at least $700,000 into ads in Wisconsin defending Gov. Scott Walker’s (R-WI) record. Walker’s promise for job creation has failed, and while his campaign did not promise to eradicate collective bargaining rights, he was successful at that.

As a candidate, Walker promised that the State would have 250,000 private sector jobs by the end of his four year term. PolitiFact reports, “our calculations show that he has 236,500 jobs left to go. And this promise remains In the Works.” Or broken.

The teap party's last stand

Lets look at those the tea party paid to have elected.
John Boehner:

Thirty-seven percent (37%) of Likely U.S. Voters have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of House Speaker John Boehner, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. But 42% have an unfavorable view of the Ohio Republican, although that's down from last month’s all-time high of 50%. The new findings include 10% with a Very Favorable opinion of Boehner and 22% with a Very Unfavorable opinion. Twenty percent (20%) offer no opinion of him.

In recent weeks reports from South Carolina and Florida have suggested the Tea Party base, important to the winning campaigns of governors Nikki Haley(R-SC) and Rick Scott(R-FL), is falling away. In each case, it’s believed that loss of support may make it difficult for either to win re-election.

Disappointing tea party

It isn't that difficult to find evidence of a waning tea party, people voted for tea party candidate only to see them immediately turn to establishment policy's. Many that voted for them now regret it.

The Republican Party is in a internal battle for control of the GOP, on one side you have the establishment republicans with there guy Romney, on another side you have the tea party with most of the right wing arm of the party wishing to force all republicans into the far right wing camp, then you have the Ron Paul Revolution.

A split republican party will not win the election. Unless beating other republican is calling it a win.

Lets not forget the low voter turnout in this primary season for Republicans.

I did find Lugar's comments quite interesting. He's obviously bitter - but also quite worried about the growing inflexibillity and extremism in the Republican Party.

Can I ask which poll you're citing? Please tell me it's not the Ras one that has The Romney Unit leading by 7 points - Ras are useless. I think Gallup has TRU ahead of Obama by a point, which sounds more likely at the moment.

if the tea party causes another downgrade in our treasury bonds, or even refuses to pay our debts, i want all the tea-party congressmen brought up on charges of treason. the act of deliberately causing harm to our national economy, by not paying our debts is more than enough reason for me. these tea-party people want to tear down america. taxpayers, left and right, will be paying out more in interest on our debt and thus causing untold billions of dollars to be paid that would not go to funding more urgent needs.
