Europe has had to deal with this for some time now and some countries have banned the burka. Naturally the media has interviewed muslims about this, and burka wearers consider the burka freedom. They don't have to care how they look, they don't have to think about men approaching them etc etc. At the same time they view western women slaves of a male dominated culture that forces them to walk around looking like.. you probably get it. You see, there are always two sides to the same coin, and usually it's all about how you have been brought up. You see evil and abuse where others see freedom and peace of mind, and vice versa.

What about freedom of religion here in America ?

Islam isn't a religion it's a "way of life", it's also a political system of harsh laws and it's an empire that recognizes no borders and no laws but it's own.

So technically this is classified under National Secruity.

Modesty? Not wearing a burqa leads to teen pregnancy? That's funny I have never worn a burqa in my life, and yet I did not end up pregnant at 16. Gee, guess I was one of the lucky ones who dressed according to the climate I live in and did not end up on teen mom.

In all seriousness claiming that American women need to learn modesty is about the most sexist thing I have ever heard. Women here don't dress up to impress other people, we dress up to make ourselves feel good. I also do not care what random men think in the street. As long as I feel good, screw everyone else.

Hey, you want to wear a burqa? Good for you, by all means wear one on top of the other if you wish. Just don't expect to go to tight security areas with no fuss. I really do believe that there had to be another reason this particular woman was removed. Perhaps she did not consent to being searched before going into the auditorium. I'll wait until we get the full story to pass judgement on President Obama.

The problem is that it isn't over- in fact it is spreading, such garments were not seen on the streets of Britain 30/40 years ago, they are now- they are also making a resurgence in their Arab "indigenous" countries.

That isn't me supporting it by the way, just observing the spread of these garments

I didnt say they have teen pregnancies because of burqa, I am saying I bet the rate is a lot lower and the temptation for such actions is a lot lower.

I was told in Islam that a woman wears a burqa because he body is meant only for her husband, If you want to walk around naked so be it; your body will be on display for the entire world to see and then what your husband sees is nothing special cause I have seen it too.

Mary, mother of Jesus was not naked, she wore a headscarf and covered up for modesty too.

No, it is not their religion it is an outdated custom, having to do with life in a desert and shielding yourself from sand, nowadays implemented by radical, weak men in order to make women invisible, non existent and not worthy.

While that may be true abut the custom thing why are you calling them stupid. You know how many stupid customs we have in the USA? How about dressing up a tree and believing in a flying old man with a beard dropping off playstations...that would seem strange to lots of people. It is an outdated custom.

Covering yourself has multiple reasons:
1-modesty and humility in front of God. Do you think paris hilton or anyone who is a stripper type would be more respected in the eyes of God? That is thier religion, they are very humble people
2-Removal of temptation; school boys would be less tempted for the teen pregnancy scenario if you remove the aspect of desire and temptation
3-mystery - only the husband knows what is under there.
4-custom - like you said it is a custom and shields the face from sand.

Do we even know for sure that this woman was a muslim?

There is a lot of sand in the USA, but I think what you are saying is that there is not enough to be shielded from it. Thats fine, so in the USA it only leaves the other three things that I mentioned, the most important one being modesty and humbleness towards god while practicing their religion. Now correct me if I am wrong but are those things illegal in the USA? Does the USA not permit freedom of religion? Who are you to tell them how they should dress while practicing their religion?

Well it's true.

It's rather draconian to ASSUME that there's a security risk here.
