That is due to the fact that these projects had to use up all of the money allocated,
so they drag them out for years.

I have the same stuff here, years on the same "shovel".

Yea, I read one artical some where that said they spent 10,000,000 on the signs stating this was stimulas work projects. How many construction jobs would 10 million dollars make.

What happens is when you go to do a project there is so much B.S. involved now that it takes forever to get started and mega bucks before the first shovel of dirt. Now there turning there money racket toward us. The place I just moved to wants you to get a permit to install a ac window unit in a shed behind the house. Are if your doing a small project that requires no permit you have to by a premit ( $15.00 ) that says you dont need a permit.

Its all about the money. People who have no buisness are claim to it, but got to have some of that pie. About two more jobs and I will be moving out to the desert some where. In the most no restricted area I can find.

The 111th Congress failed. The Democrats had full control of all committees in the House and the Senate for two whole years.

What did They do for us ?

Except party politics makes it so that even if good legislation goes before congress, the opposing party tries to block it based solely on their party line.

Due to the blocking of bills that could have helped small businesses grow and reinvest in getting this economy moving again.

The "GOP" can't do anything without Congressional committee control in both the House and Senate.

All they can do is limit the wild agenda that the Left enjoyed in the 110th and 111th Congresses.

Sounds scary to me, like everything else he talks about and does. Considering the recent election of a communist in France and neo Nazis in Greece, it would not surprise me if this is a second uprising of Totalitarian Nanny Statism. I would not be at all surprised if me meant starting up his civilian national security force

Joseph Farah, warns, that if we're going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal? I thought Democrats generally believed the U.S. spent too much on the military. How is it possible their guy is seeking to create some kind of massive but secret national police force that will be even bigger than the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force put together?

Is Obama retarded or something? Why would you want police forces who are funded just as much as the military? We are overseas with military, and you want to fund national police departments the same? Holy crap, watch our debt climb even higher... This doesn't make sense at all...

Yep, it's pretty nutty stuff. But then it was old news. I just was wondering if that was what he meant with the nation building stuff, but I guess we won't know till we see what actions the WH actually takes.

I'll tell you what the Democrats have done, they have repeatedly caved into Republican pressure, making bills that have done nothing to help this economy and our deficit. They caved to corporate interest by renewing the Bush era tax cuts instead of letting that unpaid for spending expire like they should have forcing companies to actually work harder to earn a profit instead of relying on government for a corporate handout.

The Democrats are spineless and weak and they got rolled over by a Republican minority. They should have told the GOP to go eff themselves, put in a public option for the health care bill, raised taxes on the rich and gutted defense spending while increasing education spending, and spending on the EPA and spending on Planned Parenthood.

But no, they were weak, compromised with the Republicans time and time again just to see it bite them in the ass.
