Galactic Distractions - A Waste of Time or Critical?

Quick question / impromptu poll;

Which of you / how many of you would board an otherworldly craft if you were bidden to do so, under a claim that the Earth is to be destroyed or made uninhabitable?

I'd stay, for personal reasons and certain expectations that are not religiously related at all, as I am not a religious minded person in the slightest.

Why would you bother to enter a craft if the earth was going to be destroyed when every recorded instance of when someone was abducted onto a craft and they could see where they are going they have said they went into the earth/under the water ect and never outside of our atmosphere.
