Perhaps..... but the price of real estate is dropping, and the price of real goods is going up.
It could be read both ways brother.

Let me say it like this:
Things that we think may be, are sometimes not always as they seem.

I've always had a fascination with the cold war.
Myself, eagerly await that doomsday bunker bubble bust...

Oh, and Eric... good stuff there!
Star from me.

That, indeed would be a good thing.
A return to what is real in the here and now.
But,you could still pretend, like when I was a kid and built forts.

How do you keep out the water and provide light and ventilation once the grid goes out and the generator is out of fuel?

Maybe solar?

Not bad. As long as there is no great flood, then a silo would be a bad place to be.

I think bunkers, if placed at a proper elevation above sea level and you had solar panels/wind generators, could save you from a variety of catastrophes but maybe not all ..Pole Shift or Earth Crust Displacement would be the ones most difficult to prepare for in my mind.

Yep,you are right.
North Korea still has the old maps and would aim straight for them.

So they're completely safe from North Korean attack is what you're saying.

North Korea's ICBM technology is on par with Wiley Coyote and his ACME rocketry shenanigans.

Moments after their last missile test, it was widely reported that the population of North Korea heard a strange sound. The sound lasted just seconds and is said to have come from the direction of the Sea of Japan. Here is a recording of the sound.

You could move to Kansas if you are worried, besides Florida will be underwater

At least in a bunker, wouldn't have to worry about tornadoes (well, except for anything above ground)...

Loving the Wile E Coyote comparison to NK's capability. It's pretty accurate actually, both in level of expertise, and mentality.

Still, who's got $750,000 to spend? (especially for less than 3000 sq ft of living space?)

It's for those seriously filthy rich 1% who also plan to freeze they're heads to live on for ever.
