Well, looks like my sister may have been hacked. For some reason, someone ordered us a pizza and she wasn't even here to pay for it. While sleeping, the pizza guy wakes me up and says "delivery", and I am like, I didn't order that. So I called my sister and asked her if she ordered it and she like, I didn't order that.

So, I'm guessing that whomever ordered the pizza probably knows her account now?

I swear, she has more problems then me.

Unless my dog ordered the pizza.... But, no one was on the computer. lol

Maybe a friend pranking you?

Perhaps the pizza shop got the wrong address? Happened all the time when I worked at a pizza place when I was young.

Honestly I would say if someone hacked your computer to order you pizza, it would be a LARGE amount of pizzas lol.

Yeah, I just called her and told the lady at the pizza joint, that anytime there is an order put in for this address, to notify, to confirm it. She said it looks like it was a mess up and it was someone else's pizza.

whew....

I would of bought it if it didn't have black olives on it.

I wouldnt say its any safer to use than any other operating system. Its just that virus makers target it less because not many people use it compared to windows.

If Lunix was the worlds number 1 operating system used by home users and businesses then everyone would be saying "hey switch to windows , its so much safer..i never get a virus" etc

Don't trust Lunix,
Linux is much safer.
You also just made me really want to order a pizza.
If the pizza is to your liking and if it isn't poisoned just enjoy it.
If they charge you take it up with them, deny ordering it and deny eating it.
Deny everything.
tell them that if they don;t refund you you will out them online as a dodgy website.and they will lose so many online customers that their eyes will water.

I have to admit that this is the first (and probably only) time that an operating system has been blamed for ordering food that was not wanted. Apart from the disputed Firefox - enchilada debacle of 0'7 .

Damn you Opera, I'm hungry,
Order something!

I was of course referring to the browser wars. Ubuntu/Linux never orders food. Windows just keeps munching. OSX is anorexic (as you might think) Wait till a big mac arrives on your mac by taxi and then we have a whole network of food delivery shenannigans to worry about.

Thank you, I'm here every Wednesday!
Sorry folks, I been suppin some Irish Whiskey, Had a big day today and couldn't leave ATS alone,
Am seriously considering how a tipsy Irishman free for all thread would go down, Have several quasi profound questions that I would like to throw out onto the field.

what would a tipsy irishman ask?
If a tipsy irishman could ask,
anything that a tipsy irishman would like to ask?????????????????

Sorry manhater for going off topic on your thread. But,
its Not your OS.
its someone you know.
identity thieves will hit you for all they can get, not risk exposure playing jokes (ordering pizza) and getting you to up your security and jeopardise financial gain by f*****g with your head.
when you go online, you dip your finger into the great river. Don't be surprised if a fish bites!

Doesn't everybody? I love pizza. I just hate olives, and onions.

I think it may have been the dog.

He looked depressed when the pizza didn't come in.

Unlikely. Surely he knows that onions are very bad for dogs? More likely the cat, pranking the dog....

And the plot thickens. Onions are bad for dogs. The dog apparently loves pizza. A pizza with onions is mysteriously delivered to the house. I think the cat was trying to bump the dog off.

Another pointless thread from you
I still say you should beg the ATS owners to give you your own forum to post pointless crap.Just saying. How this is still open I'll never know........More than likely someone just ordered a pizza online and sent it to your house.

In linux nomenclature security problems and bugs are called "features".

Generally, when you order pizza online, you log into a website, rather than an application on your actual computer. It could have been done from any computer. Also, was the pizza in someone's specific name? If it was in your name, or your sisters, then someone hacked the account on the website (not anyone's computer). If it was in someone else's name, then they either put in your address by accident, or on purpose.

Although linux is for the most part very secure the user is almost always the weak point.
Never giveout your usernames and passwords and try to create unique passwords for different sites in the case a sites database was compromised.

Chances are your computer was not the cause of the problem and someone made a mistake, to the best of my knowledge IP's are logged when you do an order through such sites.

The green ones are better. For some reason I just don't like the taste of the black olives. I don't know.
