Big earthquakes NOT on the rise, FOX

But it sure seems like they are....

It seems like there are because there are more of us constantly monitoring these quakes and posting about them on online forums.

Or its because they are happening more frequently. 2nd line.

Well, all the evidence shows they are most certainly NOT happening more frequently. Read the link at the beginning of this quote which sites two major studies by the American Geophysical Union.

But if you have any evidence to present to support your claim, feel free to put it forward.

The west coast U.S. is notorious for their small to moderate earthquakes. Although globally, I would say it's pretty apparent that larger and stronger quakes are in fact on the rise.

I have. My post on this page contains a link to two major studies proving just that.

You, thouh, posted your entirely baseless opinion, call it 'fact', and then put to burden of proof on me. So you kinda fail basic science.

But here are MORE links affirming my claim, and contradicting yours:

Just checked out Google Skymap app and there's a pretty neat alignment of planets with the sun today. I know that theory is controversial, but when these two new quakes showed up, pretty eerie to see that. Anyone else care to check?

ETA alignment includes venus, jupiter, sol, uranus, mercury, neptune. Luna may have been involved earlier in the day?

Ok, i may not be 100% correct here, but would these not of occured because of the 8.6 earlier today?

Earthquakes happen almost constantly every day, but useualy between the 2-5 area, once theres a big one like the 8.6, they all typically pop up a notch (between 3-6 area)

If anything, this is showing that there will not be a huge quake near Oregon or Mexico, infact, didn't Mexico have one not long ago? It could of been some trapped stress from the previous one that didn't manage to get out, and the 8.6 shock it up enough to release it, causing the 7, and then the 6.2 being an aftershock, thus there being now higher ones today.

If I am correct here, there should not be any stronger quakes, infact they will be getting weaker untill they go back to their adverage 2-5.

Ah cheers, did say I wasn't 100% sure on th subject, was just trying to make a connection.

Personal opinion is that no one has anything to worry about, sure your homes will still be there tomorrow unharmed.
