Is this going to spread to a wider regional conflict?

Looking for Reliable Alternative News links, but for now here is washingom post and sky links.

ANKARA, Turkey — Syrian forces on Monday fired across the border at protesters at a refugee camp in Turkey, wounding a Turkish translator and at least two Syrian refugees, in the first such attack since Turkey began sheltering thousands of refugees last summer, authorities said.

3 wounded refugees likely will not cause a wider regional conflict.

Either this is a pro-western propaganda or there has to be verified sources confirming this on both sides. I highly doubt Syria would attack Turkey, because that would make it legal for Turkey to attack without warning.

As post above, dont believe it until there is proof.

Dont believe a thing that comes out of Sky or other news reporters any more. Especialy when the film shows people getting interviewed wearing masks.

Note that the Turkish officals said, 'gunfire targeted a camp'. You have supposed rebel freedom fighters and all sorts running about Syria doing god knows what.

Sad thing is if the UN and other troops do get the go ahead or decide just to go ahead and intervene, then you will see casualties and deaths. Those rebels will go on a spree like all the others. Deaths will not be in the one's or two's, but tens of thousands.

Then Turkey will know all about refugees.

I tried to post this half an hour ago, but lost my Internet connection briefly.
It is on the Google news Chanel too.

I hope Turkey Invades and cleans up.

Then I'm sure Iran will go willingly to the negotiating table.

Utterly sick of violent Arabs

Well, if you need a reason for the US to become involved, attacking a NATO member is definitely one way to do it. Hopefully though, cooler heads prevail as this is not a direct attack on the government or citizens of Turkey and should NATO become involved, it wouldn't be to the benefit of the Syrian leaders.

It is already a regional conflict. Iran has been backing Assad. The question is: will Turkey now get drawn into it? Ironically, Iran's support of Syria might bring Turkey and Israel back together.

Sort of makes you wonder if it was really Syrian forces, or others dressed like them, doesn't it?

It makes more sense that the people who did this would benefit from it somehow.

It just so happens that Annan will be visiting a Turkish refugee camp tomorrow, though it is in a different province (Hatay) to the one that was hit today (Gaziantep). Perhaps a rescheduling is in order for a great photo opportunity - "Kofi visits scorched refugees, says Syria is naughty."

I doubt that it will all kick off; the Turks have dragged the charge d'affaires in for an ear-bashing and to ask them very nicely to stop. Though it's sure to help back the case for a Turkish-enforced border 'safe zone'.

Who cares if Turkey is burdened with refugees. They've created enough misery and suffering over the years, maybe it's time karma repaid them?

Point is...most people who are in support of the Syrian rebels, were against the Lybian rebels..it's the same sh*t, sponsored by the same people/groups, heck some of those fighting in Lybia are apparently fighting in Syria too now.
Merc...sorry, terrorists for hire?

Well according to Swedish state news sourced through Syrian observers it started by rebells fleeing into the camp across the border after a firefight near the border. The Syrians kept shooting when they entered the camp with collateral damage.

Sky News-

Meanwhile 30 people - mainly women and children - were killed in Syria's central province of Hama, activists said.

Who are these activists- names, reliability?

I don't like discussing Syria because their history is beyond complex, but this kind of news report is blatant propaganda.

It's completely unfair, you can't just say woman and children are being killed because an un-named activist says so!

Surely they need evidence to make these reports- but of course, the damage is done- they say people have been killed, mostly woman and children and the vast majority of readers want action or intervention on humanitarian grounds- the propaganda serves its purpose.
