The British government revealed plans for a new law that would give GCHQ unparalleled and almost unrestricted access to your emails/telephone calls/web traffic.

Internet firms will be required to give intelligence agency GCHQ access to communications in real time under new legislation set to be announced soon.

Source: www.bbc.co.uk...

The previous (Labour) government tried to pass similar legislation, which the Tories opposed at the time. Strange how now that they are in power, they support it.

This legislation needs to be strongly opposed, as it is a gross invasion of privacy in my opinion.

Note that the story was published on April 2nd, so is not a "fools joke",
