Alternative 3; A poorly timed April Fool’s prank or something more?

This web forum has been freaking me out lately.. Way too much truth for me to handle..

I just finished wathcing Avatar, then logged onto Ats... what a great Thread! Thank you so much for the extra knowledge my brother.. I was born early 90's, and I was very unaware of this! Makes so much sense with the things I have read via novel and internet over the past few years.. I am one of course to belive the massive and intensive conspiracy going on. Can you say Shame ?

Its a disgrace that these governments belive they are super powerful and allknowing towards the race inwhich gave them birth.. those humans in "control" are such a disgrace of the race in which they were born pure bred, apart of and are still biologically connected too. They need to wake the fack up and tell the people. Stop calling their race 'stupid sheep' ... such a disgrace! They are us! Pathetic.. The truth will unfold very soon, and those who are in the know, will meet their Karma in the next life. Jsut stay true and genuine here people We will all learn the truth in a matter of years from now.

This is very interesting, and I think that a Japanese game called Muv-luv Alternative was based on these Alternative programs.

In said game, Alternative 4 & 5 are being thought up because a race of aliens called the BETA are invading Earth. The BETA first arrived on Earth in 1973 (in China and Canada) after arriving on the Moon in 1967 and being spotted on Mars in 1958.
Alternative 4 is to use a machine thought up to destroy them, and if that fails, Alternative V is to put the most important people of Earth on immigrant space ships & send them throughout the galaxy, hoping to find somewhere to land.

Anyways, it's interesting to wonder if these Alternative programs of US & Russia had any bearing in the storyline of said game.

i just snapped up a 1978 sphere copy of the book for $25. That was the english release and is a good investment but not quite as valuable as the 1979 avon release the op has, but still i got a great bargain and it'll be the first book i've read for years and also a good investment, so thanks all round The english version is already being sold for $50+, there's actually one 1978 uk copy available for $30 canadian, which is a bargain waiting to be grabbed, the shipping was too much for me.

This is one of those fascinating situations that you just wonder, in 100 years time is this one of the things that people will look back on and laugh? the truth being told to us but no one believing it until some time later. I wonder what else will be common knowledge in 100 years and people look back and wonder how we couldn't see things in plain sight. I really feel like our time will be studied and looked upon like an experiment in effective mind control of people and manipulation.

The "Report from Iron Mountain" discusses the problems caused by peace to the Powers That Be. The PTB base their authority (they can legally kill you for disobedience) on the need to maintain an armed force to protect you from outside enemies. In a worldwide governance there are no outside enemies and the Report dicusses how to keep people behind the government.

The two best ideas for maintaining the populace under control control are, environmental crisis and space aliens, with colonization of space a distant third.

Alternative 3 looks like

1 A poll -- How many people can be accessed by this story?

2 A mythology -- Foundation for later propaganda if needed

3 A defamation -- Who ever is talking about a brain drain is talking about bases on Mars

4 A cover-up -- Anybody missing is doing something important

A few member have written that some of the facts or ideas stated in Alternative 3 are not available elsewhere and I think that might be true (don't know if they are facts or just ideas).

I saw this at the time of airing, it was in the war of the worlds style, but there were disclaimers somewhere in the programme. Tim Brinton is the guy with the glasses, he was a current affairs and newsman of the day. It was a coming together of a lot of the conspiracy stories, or rather some true stories with fiction thrown in. There were many suicides of scientists at Porton Down Bio research from the second half of the 20th century right up to date, including an American, and possibly a human guinea pig, and Dr Kelly being one of the last in a long list. It was actually a good show, and could have fooled anybody, unless they were 'in the know' in regard to specifics.

I should have added that science report was usually a non-fiction programme.

I think I found a PDF version of the book.

You entirely missed my point. The whole "Alternative 3" is supposed to be a plan to save Humans from destroying themselves. Apparently they think we're going to destroy the Earth so they planned this whole scheme to send our best and brightest onto Mars. But that makes no sense because Mars is already a desolate wasteland. I don't see the logic in that. It would be much easier to simply change our ways then try to make Mars hospitable. We couldn't turn the Earth into another Mars no matter how hard we tried. Perhaps if we nuked the whole planet we could do it fairly quickly, but other than that I just can't see why this Alternative 3 plan is even logical. They'd need a planet better than Mars for it to be logical.

The idea that Alternative 3 was a hoax created to conceal the truth and discredit anyone who might find the truth reminds me of the Lone Gunmen Pilot.

To those that don't know, The Lone Gunman was a short lived spin off from The X-Files. To make a long story short, the pilot episode revolved around the three Lone Gunmen foiling a plot to fly remote controlled 747s into the World Trade Center.

I have the whole series on dvd and watching the pilot episode is really quite eerie. Many people have said that this was done to discredit anyone who found out "the truth" about 9/11. I can't say that it is or isn't but the similarities are rather odd.

I guess the revolutions in 1953, 1956, 1968, 1970 and 1981 (among others) throughout the Soviet Bloc that were violently repressed by Soviet forces dont matter.... it must have also been a smokescreen.

Thousands of volumes filled with thoroughly researched oral and written history, and millions of bits of primary sources from Central Committee meetings of every communist party in Eastern Europe must also be a farce. I guess all the thousands of historians who specialize in Cold War history have been completely dupped with infallible evidence (with which i have first hand experience)

Some people are so stupid. They believe anything they read here. If someone says "the cold war was fake, everything that happened after the second world war until 1989 was just a farce so that the two greatest enemies of the 20th century could collaborate and go to mars." ....seriously, people actually believe this crap?

ahahaha. I had to laugh while typing that. It sounds so incredibly stupid.

I am a student of history, and I'm here to tell you that your dead wrong. Educate yourself, for christ sake.

I suspect that no one is saying the Cold War didn't happen. The basic idea is that the two sides were maintained in conflict so as to expand the power of the people behind the throne.

Eisenhower did not want war with the Soviets. One story has it that peace was close in late 1950's but the U-2 flights were designed to keep the cold war going. And the U-2 incident in 1960 kept the cold war plausible for another 20 years. Until the grain shipments in the late 1970's

I know but... thats absolutely ridiculous. People say things like that on this site all the time, completely forgetting the reality of the situation!

Anyone who knows the history of the second world war, and the Soviet Union, knows exactly why and how the two superpowers ended up in a cold war.

What you are saying suggests that the entire circumstances of the Second World War was faked so that some mythical TPTB could somehow benefit.... It makes no sense, and anyone who has educated themselves on these matters can say with full confidence that this is BS.

Not only is it stupid... its impossible. No matter how powerful TPTB (whoever they might/might not be) are, there is absolutely no way in hell that they could manipulate the entire course of the 20th century so perfectly. Its impossible, and if you think otherwise than you are definitely forgetting how amazingly complex the 20th century was.

What a great thread, and an even greater story. That hoax is ripe to be picked up again. Hoax the discovery of some of those VHS tapes with the special decoding hardware, and film a documentary about it. Just don't tell the person you let discover it.

Only problem I have with that story is this. They wanted to flee the hostile atmosphere of the earth so they went to the hostile atmosphere of Mars? If they could build a base that would keep them alive on mars, why not just build it on earth?

Still doesn't make sense. Why not just wait until the Earth is a wasteland and then do what they want to do with Mars? It's the exact same thing. I have no doubt that secret space programs have surveyed Mars, but the theory presented in Alternative 3 for why they want to survey Mars is disinformation in my opinion. You shouldn't have so much faith in what this documentary says, a lot of this is completely made-up. Upon doing some research it turns out there isn't even an Apollo astronaut named Bob Grodin, they made all that up.
